i purchased 2 of these about 3 months ago to use for vocals... hardly any coloration.. i am using M-audio solaris, M-audio luna and STERLING AUDIO ST-77 FET large diaphram mics... i have to say that the eq, comp, de esser, attack ratio and other features are on the money for my taste..
my only complaint is that for some reason the SA FET mic has some kind of weird response to the phantom power.. its like there isnt enough headroom but i am certain it is the mic... the luna and solaris do NOT have any problems..
i had a S.A. ST-66 tube mic but you WILL have phasing problems with putting a tube mic through a tube channel of any type
