Awesome

D'Addario strings are the best! They have amazing clarity, durability, stay in tune and are the most musical strings I have ever used. They give me everything I need to get the pure meaty tone out of my Gibson SG Special Faded. They have a great tonal balance. I get clear highs and thumpy lows. I have tried a lot of strings and D'Addario's have retained their brightness when other strings would usually die on me. These strings really allow me to tear it up. I will not use anything else!

Buzz

I've been using Ernie Ball 2223 on my Les Paul Studio and wanted to try EXL115. The low E started to buzz a lot. I thought it was due to the gauge change (.9 to .11). I thought it needed some adjustments on the bridge, truss rod... But before trying that, I removed the strings and restring my guitar with Ernie Ball 2720 (also .11). Where is the buzz?! Gone! And more: it nailed every string tune. Maybe someday I will try EXL 115 againg, but any time soon. Now my favorite strings are Ernie Ball 2223 and Ernie Ball 2720.

Good replacement strings for old, broken, thin strings I had before. Durable, strong sound and vibration. My 5 year old daughter is using it to learn to play guitar on my '96 Strat. It's easy for her to strum, pick and run her fingers over the Fret board. I play heavy and hard, and they're holding up good so far.

  • I always use these strings
