Since it's introduction nearly 20 years ago, the Akai MPC series has been indispensable to the hip–hop scene and a favorite of beat–makers everywhere. The MPC4000 delivers all of the sample–manipulation functionality you expect including looping, time–stretching, pitch–shifting, slicing and dicing. Four internal effects processors can be used simultaneously, including a wide range of effects such as reverbs, delays, chorus, phasers, flangers, 3–band parametric eq, compressor/limiter, distortion, pitch shifter, wah, and more.
Now, Guitar Center's Hi–Tech Custom Shop exclusively presents a limited custom series of the MPC4000, each one a unique work of art by the legendary Bruce Forat. Since 1982, Forat has customized drum machines and keyboards for some of the biggest names in the industry including Prince, Dr. Dre, The Neptunes, Will.i.am, Lil' Jon, Snoop Dog, RZA, Jermaine Dupree and Madonna. Guitar Center has secured the last 11 units of the MPC4000 – that's the last 11 units ever, no more will be made – and entrusted them to master–customizer Forat. We're proud to offer these completely unique MPC's, each a highly collectible masterpiece, to our most discerning customers. Due to their one-of-a-kind designs, each is priced individually.
