This is the GO-TO guitar!
If you want an all-around guitar, that doesn't cost an arm and a leg, this is it! I have a Martin 000-15M and a Martin HD28-V, and they are awesome guitars. Each have a niche. But by far the Yamaha is the most versatile, and has great tone, sustain, and play-ability. It's a guitar that you can take with you, keep in the living room, the dog can tip it over, you can stumble over it and the dog, you can play it when you are mad, or just overly enthusiastic, you may experiment with different ways to play, nothing like you would ever do with that high dollar guitar. This guitar has taken a lickin' and it just keeps tickin'! I am looking forward to a lot of years with this guitar. And it seems to be improving with age and play.

Can't stay in tune
The biggest problem with this guitar is its tuners. They slip and cannot keep tune. I tightened the screws at the ends of the stems very tight, but they still slip. Also, the action on the guitar is rather high. I find the neck to be too narrow for my fingers. I would have preferred that a strap button be located at the base of the neck. On the plus side, the sound is decent. The electronics are good, and the built-in tuner is handy, but not as precise as a Snark.

This guitar sounds great and looks nice. The top of the guitar neck feels kind of a little bit grainy. It needs to be sanded down a little more around the neck to make it smoother, beside that everything else is good.
yes,i would buy it again.

This is a great guitar, and it sounds great with some fatter strings on it, but the only problem I have with it is the neck, but other than that, this guitar is one of the most well constructed and best sounding guitars I own.
