first off i'd like to say i dont actually own this exact board i own the board that got replaced by this one which was the 16/6FX its a great board and this ones got even more features. this board is quiet as far as noise goes other than a little bit of static when you turn the fx up to high. the construction is solid and the knobs and faders have the perfect amount of resistance. its not real heavy but feels pretty durrable. rack mountable so you can bolt it on your rig. the stereo peak meeter is extremely responsive and has no lag. 4 buss so you can record 4 tracks or have 4 monitors or add external fx. and the fx has a send so you can add external fx without loosing an aux send. a few things they shouldnt have changed from the 16/6FX is the inputs and out puts were on the back and the 7 band stere EQ was a nice feature. also on your stero channels they took off the high and low mid and last they made the rack mounts on the sides were they dont fold in so if your not mounting it in a rack youre stuck with them on the side. other than those few small things that are personal prefrence its a perfect mixer. i use mine for both recording and live shows. verry reliable. and the contrast between the board and the knobs is great. its about as good as i'v used and iv used some big stuff. oh and the phantom power is good 2.
