I bought this guitar for my son who started taking lessons about a year and a half ago. I knew the guitar was laminated, as I expect that in this price range. What I didn't expect was that the top of the guitar has a micro thin veneer for cosmetics. After a few months the brige pulled up from the face of the guitar, because it ripped the veneer off from the face of the guitar. I knew this was a student level guitar, but I was hoping to get him something that would last until he gets a full size guitar. My advice, spend the extra money and buy the Cordoba Cadette. Yes it's laminated too, but no micro thin veneers. Plus it has better tuners, real wood inlays and a real wood rosette.

It is great guitar for the price you pay.The sound is good and it's perfect size for my 7 years old. I'm giving it 4.5 only because couple of the strings gets out of tune very fast and I had to put new ones.
