I've played every other classical guitar hanging on the wall and this one out performs them all including the more expensive Cordoba and Rodriguez models. Excellent tone range, action is close making it very easy to play. The construction very good as well.

I bought this guitar 4 years ago and it has done way more than expected. I bought this guitar to use in a event called solo and ensemble at my high school. Once a year i would play a classical solo for a judge and he would rate me on my playing. From freshman year to senior year, i went to state all four years and won gold. The tone and playability of this guitar is amazing! If you want a guitar that will go all the way, this is for you.

I've been playing classical for a lil over 10 years now and I haven't come across a guitar this subtle and perfect in more than just one way... I had been looking for a low priced classical to travel with and after a lotta research, picked the perfect one... looked at some cordobas, lucernos, ibanez, and by far the yamaha stood out....it sounds great, its got a great original finish, a lighter body than most other classical guitars, a thick neck which makes it easy to play for someone with bigger hands and fingers... needless to say its an absolute pleasure strumming this toy and for this price its a steal... 5 stars all the way

I bought this guitar about 3 years ago, actually at a local Sam Ash store, when I was taking classical guitar lessons. It's an all around great guitar. I fell in love with it when I first picked it up. Great sound quality, and very nice finish. On mine the neck is starting to kind of torque, but that's probably because I haven't used a humidifier in my case. Anyways, it's a great guitar for classical. I definitely prefer dreadnoughts. Only get this guitar if you're intending playing classical, because it will drive you crazy to try to play any thing else. It's a pretty quiet guitar too, which makes it hard to play along with things, partly due to the nylon strings. I like the dreadnought's steel strings, Large body, and thin long neck. Also, it's a pain to change the strings on this guitar. When I got it though, it already had really good strings. I guess this review kinda goes for all classicals. But again, it's a good guitar, it's served me really well for a few years. It's well worth the money.

After researching classical guitars on this site, I went into guitar center expecting to spend quite a bit more and leaning towards a Cordoba. But after making my guitarist friend play every nylon string in the store, this one had the nicest tone by far (despite the laminate top). It was also the only guitar in this price range that didn't have dead spots or buzz. I've been playing it for about 6 months now and would definitely recommend.

I'm a beginner, and I just bought this guitar a few weeks ago...I love it. I've played other guitars (friends, family, school), but this one is the easiest and most comfortable for me. I have longer fingers which helps. It is a wide guitar, so watchout small hand people. It's also very easy to play than other guitars I've played. The nylon strings are wonderful because you don't have to press hard at all, and you still get a wonderful sound.
