The Whirlwind Little IMP Lo to Hi Impedance Matcher is an in-line impedance-matching transformer to connect low-impedance mics to high-impedance inputs. Use with mixers that have 1/4", unbalanced inputs designed for high impedance mics which won't accept standard balanced, low impedance microphones.

Great for plugging a microphone into a guitar amp.

This impedence matcher is perfect for plugging lo-Z microphones into tube guitar amps. It works great for live Harmonica: SM57/58 -> Mic Cable -> Whirlwind Little IMP -> small tube combo amp. The same setup is also excellent for getting overdriven vocal tracks in the studio. The frequency response and clarity of the Little IMP are excellent too. I have always trusted Whirlwind for quality products. This gizmo is built solid & tough, and should last a lifetime. It's a great addition to any sound engineer's kit.
