Vater Jay Weinberg 908 Drumstick Model

Description
The Vater Jay Weinberg 908 Signature Drum Sticks were developed in close collaboration with Slipknot's hard-hitting drummer, Jay Weinberg. Sized between a 5A and 5B for maximum comfort and control, these hickory sticks deliver a quick response, articulate cymbal definition and robust, full-bodied drum tones suited for aggressive rock and metal styles. The 908's slightly tapered shape provides a fast forward throw and rebound for rapid-fire fills and solos. At 16.25" in length, the 908 gives players extended reach to power through drum kits with ease.
Collaboration With a Heavy-Hitter
As the rhythmic backbone of Slipknot, Jay Weinberg requires drumsticks that can withstand the immense speed, power and complexity of his playing. The 908 is the result of Vater's total collaboration with Weinberg to design a stick with ideal response, tone and durability for his hard-hitting style. "The 908 is the result of total collaboration and discovery with Vater," says Weinberg. "We've created a drumstick that's truly unique and that has its own character, but feels familiar and versatile, to suit any drummer's style.
Quick Tapers and Barrel Tips for Aggressive Sound
The 908's fast tapers and medium barrel tips work in tandem to produce maximum volume and an aggressive articulate tone. The tapered shape provides a quick rebound for rapid single and double strokes, while the barrel tips give full-bodied resonance to drums and a bold, cutting cymbal sound. Together, these features make the 908 ideal for intricate fills, blast beats and other techniques that require speed, power and musicality.
Extended Length Adds Power and Reach
At 16.25" long, the 908 provides an additional 1/4" of length compared to a standard 5A stick. This added length gives players increased leverage and reach to power through drum kits with more intensity and control. The slightly longer 908 allows drummers to play with more velocity and openness while maintaining comfort and finesse.
Durability for High-Impact Playing
Constructed from select hickory, a dense, shock-resistant wood, the 908 is built to withstand the physical demands of heavy rock and metal drumming. Hickory provides an ideal balance of rigidity and flexibility for big powerful strokes. The 908's durable yet responsive build allows drummers to play aggressively without sacrificing dynamic sensitivity or tonal clarity.

I use this stick when Power 3A's are out. I lose some reach, but it's the closest next thing for me. I got to have that round ball tip.

I usually play Metal/Punk, but I auditioned for a jazz band with these, and they worked perfectly, not lots of stick chipping, small cracks but no breaks, and they make the drums and cymbals sound amazing. The material is very nice on the hands, so no worries about blisters, and the sticks are sanded to perfection.
Great Sticks. Nice balance and weight up front

I used to use Vater fusions but then found these with Jay's name on em and figured Id give it a try. They are great and have a better weight up front for me. Could be placebo with the Weinberg name on it, but maybe I am playing faster!!!

These sticks are great for the genre of music that requires heavy hitting and playing over loud distorted guitars and harsh vocals. These sticks are incredibly durable and can last you many months playing the kinds of music they were intended for and can last years if playing softer music. Overall these sticks are amazing but are a major jump in feel from the regular 5A sticks.
Son loves these sticks

Use these with a rock bar…was not used to weight at first, but does a lot of the work as opposed to lighter sticks.
