1 of the 3 best new production 12AX7
I have a few of these and im using them in my various amps. These reissue Tung-sol tubes from New sensor are easily, IMHO, one of he 3 best new production preamp tubes being made. For years I have used original U.S.A made Tung sol tubes and these are genuinely close enough that i use them inter-changeably. This has the sound of the american 12AX7: powerful, fully equal output-range of lows mids and highs, and great OD distortion, just slightly looser than Brittish Mullards or German Telefunken. BTW The other 2 excellent new prodcution tubes are the JJ ECC803 long plate, and the Mullard 12AX7 reissue. The Mullard sounds awsome but is a bit fragile, can become microphonic with a lot or rough handling.

No Warning About Cathode Follower/Phase Inverter Use
I purchased three of these when I was looking to re-tube my Peavey. The item's description does not state that these can not be used in a Cathode Follower or a Phase Inverter position. Fortunately, I found out about it before replacing the tubes. I contacted "Otto" through Tung-Sol's website who confirmed that these can not be used in those positions. It would have been nice to have that information clearly available before I purchased 3 of them. So, after purchasing a Sovtek 12AX7WB to use in the Phase Inverter and tube rolling from other amps, I was able to spread the Tung-Sol's around. To be quite honest, I find the tone change negligible. I've rolled the Tung-Sol's, JJ's and Ruby 7025SS's through a variety of positions on a variety of amps and can't hear enough of a difference to say that they are wonderful or bad.

My effects loop on my Mesa Boogie Mark V was not working. I found that the V6 preamp tube was responsible for the effects return. I replaced the V6 preamp tube with this replacement tube from GC and the effects loop is working perfectly again.

I run Tung Sol in the V1 on all of my amps. RFT's are getting harder to find and they are getting to be outside of the range I want to spend.
Works perfectly, thanks to the guy who helped me

I received excellent advice from the sales guy. The power tube was exactly what my amp needed and it sounds better than ever with great tone and response.
I recommend this AX7 preamp tube

I use this tube in the preamp section of my bass rig to add a bit of warmth to bass tone. Other brands didn't influence the tone as much.
Just replace the tube in my Tube MP Project Series 4/24/25

I just replaced the tube in my Tube MP Project Series with a 12AX7Tung-Sol. There is a knight and day difference in the sound quality with the regular tube from the manufacture. Gain/output difficult to adjust. 12AX7Tung sounds 100% better when recording with Mic/Guitar.
In-store price was 25% higher!

I went to a local GC that had these in stock and they tried to charge me 25% more that the online price! When I showed the employee the listed price here, he said, Oh ok, there must be an online-only promotion. We'll honor that price. 🙄 Sorry, NO, there was no "online promotion", you just tried to overcharge me, that's all! Then I had to stand around for 10 minutes to wait for a manager to override the inflated in-store price! Not good business practice. 😕
