NEW REVIEW - Nearly everything I had hoped for

Trying out a lot of other options, the taylor 214 stood out as the best sounding guitar in my price range. Tonally, this guitar is excellent. The only thing that dissapointed me at all was that out of the package, the action was a little low. The G and D string buzzed slightly, but a slight truss rod adjustment took care of that. Also, If you are looking for an instrument that's made in the US, this one is made in Mexico. Still a great value though.

Take Time to Try A Taylor!

Just bought a Taylor 214ce today in Cincy. Tried several other guitars but wasn't quite impressed until the sales mgr, suggested this guitar. What an amazing balanced sound! I am pleased with every aspect of this guitar. The construction is impeccable and very light. I had been a big Ovation fan for over 30 years, but now I have converted completely. Hey, take a serious look at this guitar that won't break the bank. It will play many styles of music and give you that "fill the room" sound we all like. Tried recording some tonight. Oh my! very clean and no need for extra eq or effects: It's already perfect! Thanks for the best acoustic/electric I've owned. You guys are tops!

Awesome Deal!

Just got this as a Christmas present and let me just say i'm blown away. Taylor has created a wonderful acoustic electric that wont break the bank. I spent a lot of time looking at taylors before i settled on this one. i chose it because of the price but i am very satisfied. if you're buying a taylor chances are you're looking for that unmistakably taylor sound. this guitar is a great representation of that. the important thing to remember when looking at this guitar is that it does not have the full expression system which is sad but contributes to the price. if it fits your budget i would def. recommend this guitar but if you have the money it would be worth going with the 314 or higher because they have the full expression system and solid wood all the way around instead of laminate sides and back like the 214.

Amazing guitar, Amazing price!

This guitar is truly great. Plays like ones that are 3 times the price. Electronics are extremely simple and when not plugged in, it is surprisingly loud and very crisp sounding. Usually need to take new guitars to the shop because the action is to high, but not with this one. Comes set very low with no buzz. Worth every penny!

Beautiful Guitar

I bought this guitar back in August and I'm glad I did. I've always been a fan of Gibson guitars, but when one of my friends got this guitar, I had to have one of my own! It's so light and it fits comfortably. The price is very reasonable too. Especially for the quality of sound this guitar produces. I've played some acoustics whose prices are jacked way up, but this Taylor blows all of them out of the water. It sound is so full! It's not muffled, it doesn't ring and it doesn't sound cheap at all. I love this guitar! If you are looking for a good quality acoustic for a reasonable price, then by all means CHECK THIS ONE OUT!!!
