This unit sounds very transparent. It is easy to learn and use and has been 100% reliable for me so far. I have used it on three location recordings so far with fantastic results. The current software version supports all of your favorite bit depths and sample rates. This recorder is great for recording choirs, chamber music and orchestras. In addition to supporting a stereo pair of mics, there are additional inputs for special or soloist mics. This is a quality piece of equipment. I recommend that you download the manual to see if its feature set will fit your needs. It seems to be uniquely positioned in the market as a quality portable multitrack recorder at a moderate price point.
