A full-blown, weeping, screaming, rocking Strat with a phenomenal price tag.

The contoured solid alder body is the same world-renowned style that fueled the fires of Hendrix, Clapton, SRV, and thousands more. Pure vintage tone comes pounding out of 3 biting single-coil pickups, taking on flavor from a classic rocking tremolo and 5-way switching. Genuine die-cast tuners provide unprecedented tuning stability in this price range. The headstock is the classic '70s "big" style. The maple neck plays fast and feels great. When you trade up, your Affinity Series Strat will be worth far more than any no-name copy.

Squier by Fender Affinity Series Stratocaster Electric Guitar Features:

My First Guitar

This guitar was my first one and it still is my favorite out of the entire bunch. My mom got this for me as a birthday present and I'm glad she did. For a beginner's guitar it is really good. It has a great sound and has the ability of playing a wide array of music.

Wow - great value!

I bought the Squire Affinity Strat for my 11 year old last year because I wasn't sure about how serious he was about guitar. When we received it, I brought it to my guitar tech for a set-up. He told me not to bother as it was set-up perfectly right from the box! While I love my Semi-hollow Ibanez, this guitar has received tons of use from both my son and me. I'm flabbergasted about how much better this guitar is than the mid-70s American FENDER (not Squire)Strat I had years ago (which ultimately turned me off Fender for years). There is no way one can find a better guitar at this price. Ours has been dropped, played hard, and stood up to the treatment only a bunch of dreamer rocker kids could provide. Great action and neck (I prefer the maple neck on this guitar), hardware has held up well. Not a single reliability issue - just tons of dings, dents, and scratches. No, it isn't a $700 Fender, but it is better than most $300 guitars and we paid $150 for ours.

WICKED!!

this guitar is a sweet guitar for the price. I bought mine when i was just barley learning guitar and have had it for three years and it still is screaming. the only proablem is it does pick up a little bit of buzzing but other than that it is a wonderful guitar if you are a beginner

Ye Olde Strat

I purchased one of these babies a couple years ago as my first guitar. I have been playing for several years now and my playing ability has been steadily increasing and alot of that is because of this guitar. The pickups give great tone, the body style is famous, and the 5 way pickup selector is an excellent feature. Plus, for a strat, the price dont get much better.

Decent

I got this guitar 9 months ago. Its still holding together nicely. But I would only recommend this to a beginner. Theres no unique sound quality and the 3 single coil pick-ups aren't good for my favorite style of music, metal. Yet, if your looking for a guitar that has a rock punk feel to it take this one. I really haven't had any problems with mine. It is worth the money.
