Description

The MDR-7506 headphones from Sony are a staple for audio professionals and enthusiasts alike. With premium 40 mm drivers, these headphones deliver full-range, professional-quality audio with a frequency response of 10Hz to 20kHz for highly accurate reproduction of every sonic detail. The closed-ear design blocks outside noise for critical listening and provides tight bass response. Padded ear cups make extended listening sessions comfortable, while the foldable design and included soft case add portability.

Premium Drivers Provide Accurate, Full-Range Sound

At the heart of the MDR-7506 headphones are premium 40mm drivers that produce clear highs, present mids and strong lows for a balanced frequency response tailored to studio applications where hearing accuracy is crucial. With a range of 10Hz to 20kHz, every nuance of your audio is reproduced faithfully.

Closed-Ear Design Eliminates Distractions

The circumaural, closed-ear design of the MDR-7506 headphones blocks outside noise to eliminate distractions. This allows you to focus on critical listening tasks. The closed-back design also enhances the low end, producing tight bass response for monitoring applications.

Comfortable and Portable

Designed for extended use, the MDR-7506 headphones feature padded ear cups and headband for comfort during long sessions. The ear cups swivel and the headphones fold up for compact storage in the included soft case, making them easy to transport or stow when not in use.

Rugged and Reliable

Gold-plated connectors on the MDR-7506 headphones prevent signal loss and corrosion over time, while the UniMatch plug supports both 1/4" and 1/8" jacks for compatibility with a range of devices. A coiled cable resists tangling and provides plenty of slack between the headphones and your audio source. The MDR-7506 headphones are built to withstand the demands of studio use and travel.

Outstanding Clarity

Mirror-flat response, very accurate source representation, and absolutely no coloration or dampening exhibited. Very sensitive to the entire frequency spectrum. No audible fatigue noticed after several hours of wear. Excellent Choice.

Great until...

These headphones where great until the left ear band started showing stress and the right ear band finally snapped. I'm sure these still get great sound, but they are not unusable. I have had these headphones since Dec 28th, 2016 and they should have lasted much longer than that for the price. The bands for the cups are too ridgid and not very flexible as I have learned apparently. I used to recommend these, but now I cannot! I would love to have a refund if possible or at least a replacement pair...

Good sound quality for the price, seem durable but haven't had them long to know for sure. I use them for quiet guitar practice and they work well for that, I don't feel like I'm lacking any frequencies. My only complaint is that the ear cups are a bit small/tight on my ears but that's a personal issue, if you have smaller ears it's a non-issue. #sweepstakes
