  • Loved it!!!!!!

As reviewed by MikeHarvey on 7/27/2006

I caught this on sale and I bought this and I love it. I bought it a few years ago and it's still the only vocal mic that I use in my studio. So if you're on a budget then you'll want one of these.

  • Shure PG58 with XLR Cable

As reviewed by Drummerboy000 on 9/28/2006

To be completely honest i love this mic. My singer and i have been using these for about 3-4 months. This mic has range and projects so clearly. One thing to watch for is feedback, just keep it clear of the speaker path, and it'll be fine. But overall this mic is really good especially for the price if you want a good mic at a great price seriously get this mic.

  • Great mic

As reviewed by Peggy on 6/11/2008

I don't do any singing myself, but wanted a decent mic for my presentation blurb when doing school jazz programs (instead of always borrowing someone else's mic or the school's bad mic). I didn't need the quality/cost of an SM58, but wanted something decent. For what my use is, this mic is great! I used it for announcements at a recent family reunion picnic, outside, and it sounded fine. Great price, great quality (sturdy casing & low switch noise) - I can see it being used by young and/or occasional singers who want a good mic but can't or aren't willing to shell out more than necessary (especially if you don't need studio quality!). I can't compare it directly to an SM58, but it was comparable with an unswitched SM57 for speech. Any vocal tone issues with this mic can be easily taken care of by tweaks on a mixing board or amp EQ. This package, with a switched mic, clip, bag, and cord, was a great deal - highly recommended!
