Impressivo!

Very impressive quality on the mic. I own this whereas many others prefer the SM58. They are just plain wrong. This one is a little more expensive and with good reasoning. This isn't your average microphone...it's a little smarter. Works beautifully in comparison to any other mic I've used. Completely, utterly perfect for the price. The tone quality is astounding considering it's under 200 bucks. Great buy...recommended for every singer!

Must have for speech

If you have the money, get the Shure Beta58A! If you don't have the money, save up....This will be the most amazing mic you will have ever used! It's clarity in vocal reproduction is unmatched. I would pay twice as much for one of these. I currently have 5 that I used on a regular basis.

Great Mic for the Working Musician

The Shure Beta 58A Mic is a great purchase for every vocalist, especially those who are seeking crystal clarity from their mic. It can take a beating and keep working. I am a rock vocalist, and no matter whether you sing, growl, or scream into the mic, the Beta 58A adds a great warmth to your voice. Another great feature is its absolute lack of feedback or pickup of ambient noise, making it ideal for energetic live shows. Highly Recommended.

The Shure bet is the Beta 58A!!

I currently had a really old mic and it was time for an upgrade, due to the fact I was running a live online radio show and the mic I had just wasn't cutting it. As soon as I plugged the 58A in I could tell the difference. The sound was great, clear and precise, and I didn't even get any feedback when held near speakers. The price was honestly not bad for the quality and I like the factory warranty it came with. I am very impressed and can't wait to use it on my upcoming show.

Shure Beta 58A live vocal Mic

You want a mic that can handle whatever you throw at it? You've found it. I've used one Beta 58A for the last 3 or 4 years as well as the SM58 and the competitively priced Sennheiser 835 and 935 models in a wide range of vocal applications. Our musical style ranges from mid tempo acoustic pieces to modern rock and I've yet to find another mic that makes the transition so well. The Beta's clarity and feeback rejection is impressive, but above all is it's defined bass perfomance whether you're singing close to or further away from the mic. Which can make all the difference in an amazing performance and that "washed-out", "choked" live vocal sound. While it hasn't yet been a problem, my only pause for thought when rating the value of the Beta is the fact that the Shure manufacturer's warranty is considerably shorter than the Sennheiser products.
