Description

The Seymour Duncan SH-12 George Lynch Screamin Demon Humbucker Pickup screams like a banshee or purrs like a kitten. Push it for a tone rich in harmonics and sustain; or back off for a fat, sassy, clean sound. 4 conductor.

Medium output. Great clarity, even at high gain. This really improved the sound on my old Squire Katana, which only has one volume knob. I would love to see what some tone control would do with this.

  • My go-to pick up for the last 25+ yrs.

I have it installed in my 2 primary workhorses; both Fender Strats. These are run through a Laney 50 watt head and one of two Laney cabinets, both run dry for the most part. My ear likes what it hears so I've stuck with it. Love the tone, crunch and harmonics supplied.

  • A great balanced bridge pickup for a Strat!

I have a Lonestar Strat and it came with a Pearly Gates pup in the bridge position. Although I liked it's chimey high end, the low end seemed to muddy with not quite enough mid's for my Stat. I tried a JB, but it was a little too much mid. I purchased the trembucker Screamin Demon and it's is great balance of the two. Not quite as high output as the JB, but I think it fits the bill perfectly! I back off the treble a bit and the low end is nice and punchy, the way I like it. I have heard other reviews saying that is doesn't have enough output. Not the case here. It cover every genre that I have played. It can be shrill (screamin demon, after all), but back your treble off a bit and it's very nice! I am playing it through a Marshall dsl20hr and a 4x12 with greenbacks.

George Lynch is one of my favorite guitar players of all time and a major infulence on my style, playing, and sound. So when I heard he was releasing a signature pickup I knew it was going to be a most have. I bought my dad's high school buddy's old 1985 Fender Stratocaster, and smacked one of these bad boys in the bridge position in place of the brittle sounding stock single coil already in it. This thing turned that guitar into an 80s heavy metal/rock beast. The Screamin Demon is got a lot of characteristics to a old PAF, except it is hotter and got more defined highs and lows. Cleans up better than any other hum bucker and screams better too. Can get some of the sickest old school rock tones known to man out of it

im thinking on getting this pick to install into my jackson KV2 , the only reason i want to cuz ive heard this pick up gives a good megadeth sound to the guitar, in fact dave mustaine used a screamin demon pick up on his jackson guitar in the 80s..basiclly if dave used it and liked it, it HAS to be good..right?
