  • Sweet

As reviewed by Brian on 10/22/2008

Very sweet growl as opposed to the grinding humbucker that was stock in the RG Ibanez. Ibanez's INF-4 is a pretty nice pick up too, but completely different than the SH-12. Duncan's SH-12 growls like a Lion.

  • The Ultimate Metal Pickup

As reviewed by PuppetMaster417 on 2/28/2007

I own a Jackson that had really muddy stock pickups, so i needed something heavier. It was either EMGs or Duncans and EMGs aren't my kinda tone so I bought the Duncan's. I honestly bought them on the spot because the name was cool, but i was in for a suprise. The pickups growl like none other...While other pickups give that creamy "nu" distortion this boosts my tone and gives it that 80's Megadeth crunch. My riffs have defenitley more character because of his pickup....Every guitar I own now has a Seymour Duncan...

  • Very nice Harmonics

As reviewed by Frehleybure1 on 8/31/2006

I recently installed this pickup in the bridge of my '57 reissue Black Beauty. Love this thing! Great clean tones, bright Harmonics. Cleans up VERY WELL at 6.5-7 Volume. Not quite as loud as the Neck pickup - Gibson '57 Classic Gold. A little Pricey.
