Sennheiser ew 115 G3 LE Wireless Microphone System Band A2

I've used a lot of mics in very different venue setups/sizes/locations, after using an older Sennheiser Wireless Mic Setup with another Touring Band, I heard lots of House Sound Engineers say, "We Have House Mics, You Don't Need Your Own, These are Better Sounding..." ... etc... when our Tour Manager told them it was the Sennheiser, they said "Oh, Ok.. No Problem.. Plug In Here.." .. which leads me to believe that I'm not the only one that likes these Mics. I was on a Mission at that point to find a Sennheiser Wireless Setup for my new project, "Social Jab", I do alot of singing & screaming, so I needed a Mic that could take the abuse of HighPressure Screams, yet still capture more melodic singing with no variance in output quality, I found the Sennheiser Evolution G3 Series to do exactly that, it has alot of features on it that make Wireless a breeze, instead of having just a few frequencies like alot of Wireless setups, it has like 1,440 that you can choose from, but the coolest part about that is, you can select "Easy SetUp" and it checks all the frequencies and tells you which ones to use so that you have no interference from active RF Channels that you may have been unaware of, so from show to show, setup is custom tailored to that venue at the touch of a button, it's built from solid steel, which some say is "Heavy", but, would you really want to trust your Vocals to a LightWeight Plastic Mic from day to day, I didn't think so.. as for the Review, Features, this Mic has Dual AF (Audio OutPut Frequency Level) so you can adjust the Mic Sensitivity Input Level itself, and the Receiver OutPut Levels Separately, so you can really adjust for no Clipping/Distortion, the e815 Mic Capsule that comes in the package is really good at rejecting sounds from Off-Axis, so it helps to eliminate FeedBack by ignoring sound coming from anywhere but straight on, this combined with the AF Settings act like a Gate, plus you can replace the Mic Head just in case you blow a Diaphragm or just want to change the Mic Characteristics/PickUp Pattern (Say, change from the e815 to the e835) just by Screwing the new head on the transmitter.. awesome!, Quality & Reliability, it's friggin' solid steel, need I say more?, Look & Feel, well, it's solid so a little heavy, but I find that as a plus, it's the standard GunMetal DarkGrey unless you get the Chrome or Jeweled UpGrade, and the Receiver gives you all the Info. you could need, including a Guitar Tuner mode that can help you know what Key the song is in (Great for help setting Vocal Processor Correction Key Settings), the "SoundCheck" mode helps you set the Squelch and AF Levels by showing you the Min vs. Max RF and AF Levels, what more could you ask for? I suggest if you're looking at the next model up, just get this one and the e835 Mic Capsule, because, other than the Mic Capsule, the only difference is 1400 vs. 1600 RF Frequencies, and if you can't find a free frequency in over 1400, there is something wrong! Get This One!

As a vocalist in a cover band, I have always used a Shure microphone. When I decided to purchase a wireless microphone system, I went to Guitar Center to try what they had. After a few test runs, I tried the Sennheiser and was SOLD immediately! The mic is solid (a bit heavy) and the sound quality made me wonder why I did not do this sooner! The sound quality is EXCELLENT, and the set up is a breeze! I am thrilled with this mic......and you will be too!

we have owned sennheiser mics G2's and they sound great. We bought this model G3 and it is highly recommended. we are thinking of buying another pair of the same kind...

I have had the EW115G3 for about 3 months now. I am no pro to wireless mics as this is the first wireless system I have owned. With that said it does not take a rocket scientist to have this unit setup up and running in a matter of minutes and it is rack mountable via the (GA3 Rack Kit & AM2 Antenna Kit) which I also bought and absolutely love. The mic itself is a bit on the heavy side but is built and feels like an army tank. As a mobile DJ I needed a mic that can take a pounding week after week unlike some of the other cheaper built plastic mics. The sound is superb. I have had mariachi groups use it at weddings and events with up to 3 people at a time singing into the same mic from about 2 feet away from it and the vocals were picked up beautifully. Would I buy it again? 100% Yes! Hope this helps
