Killer Guitar
The omen 6 is the most recent guitar i've purchased and it'll most likely be the last. Right out of the box, it has a killer tone, great note clarity and excellent sustain. It has a great feel comparable to a PRS or Gibson guitar, very solid but not too heavy. I've run this guitar through a mountain of fx and it shines through better than any stock guitar in my arsenal. For the price of this guitar, you really can't be it, the closest being purchasing a cheaper guitar and then having to shell out for better pickups, which come standard on the omen 6. I can't imagine a feature or option other than slight cosmetic issues that i'd ever change on this beast.

Decent guitar for begginers
I bought the omen six due to the fact that i left my previous guitar at home when i joined the army. I needed a decent guitar with a small pricetag and the omen six was a good deal. Although mine has fret buzzing from the first fret down, and it is difficult to fret the strings or perform bends. Although I hope that I can get this resolved by an expert who can fix these problems. But for the price it's definitly a good deal.

Great Guitar to start with

This is an amazing guitar to start with, not too expensive, great sound. Mine came setup from factory perfect, didn't need much tweaking to get it how I like it. Changed to the strings I prefer and bam, I'm in love with it. I'm not an expert on guitars or sounds, so take that into account but I do highly recommend this.

My main guitar is a Gretsch Country Gentleman, an amazing guitar with a distinctive tone. But I wanted something with a neutral tone for recording different types of music. No matter what effects you run on the Gretsch, you get a vintage meaty sound. So I tested a dozen guitars for 15 minutes or more each, on different effects on two amps on guitars $250 to $500. These included Epiphones, Ibanezۡs, a Washburn, a few Deans (fail), a Jay Turser (fail), a Gibson, a couple BC Rich's. This Omen won easily and stood up to testing better than some of the $400 guitars. (There were some $500 guitars that had a slight edge, but not enough to justify the $200). While Schecter seem to market itself as a metal guitar maker, the only things that stand out to me as being particularly `metal' are the thin neck and dual humbuckers. Knobs are volume, tone, and 3 position pick up switch. Action is extremely low with no buzzing. They had 9s on it at the shop and I changed it to 10s with no need to adjust the truss rod. I spent some time detuning it to see how well the tuners work with good results. But here is why it won my `versatile guitar contest 2011.' This guitar can sound like anything. With the tone knob in the middle and both Humbuckers up, cycling thru my Yamaha Magic Stomp with every basic guitar sound from the last 50 years, it sounds great on all of them. You can get a nearly acoustic sound and a sound that would make Pantera fans happy (RIP DD).

this guitar has a.24 fret rosewood fingerboard glossy finish butthe only problem I found were the string I recommend you to buy new thick strings because these are too weak for my tastes

I have owned many different brands and styles of guitars over the years, several of them cost me way more than this Schecter Omen 6. Don't let the price tag fool you... this guitar is my favorite of all time! It is light weight, has a wonderful tone, the fretboard is smooth, and it is very comfortable to play. The quality of Schecter is amazing for the price. The only thing that I would suggest is possibly swapping out the pickups down the road for some EMG's for a crisper tone. I have had this guitar for several months now and can't wait to get home from work to play it everyday. Love it, love it, love it!!!

This guitar is amazing. Ive had it foraround 2 months. Not only does it look amazing, it plays and handles well. I cant tell you how many times ive banged it on things. I nailed it on the corner of a wooden table, and it damaged the table. Not a scratch on the guitar.
