Comments about Schecter Guitar Research Omen Extreme-6 FR Left-Handed Electric Guitar:

I'm a first time Schecter guitar buyer and I'm very pleased with the quality, sound and feel of this guitar.
Solid build, stays in tune even after extreme bending/whammy bar use and the look of the guitar is even better in person.
I see another buyer here had some issues with this guitar after some use, so I'll keep an eye on this or any other issues should they arise...hope not, so far it plays and sounds awesome.
Hopefully Schecter can resolve this buyers issues.

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research Omen Extreme-6 FR Left-Handed Electric Guitar:

Like the previous reviewer I too am used to playing Les Paul guitars. I wanted a more versatile guitar with a Floyd Rose and I knew I didn't really care for Ibanez guitars. I've noticed that Schecter had become quite popular with many musicians so I thought I'd give this a shot. First off, the guitar is beautiful. The craftsmanship seems solid. The neck is very thin and narrow so it's great for someone with smaller hands and I really love the satin finish on the back of the neck. Combined with the jumbo frets it makes for a very precise playing experience. The one thing that takes getting used to is the placement of the knobs and the selection switch. They're placed in a such a way that getting to them quickly while playing takes some practice. You'll notice that the tremolo is in the way of reaching the knobs at times. The guitar is great at staying in tune which is something I've always had a problem with on guitars with the Floyd Rose (Ibanez). The pickups are loud but clear. The tone of the guitar isn't very deep but again, I'm used to a Les Paul so I attribute this to the body material more than anything. Listen to Ratt's "Out of the Cellar" from the 80's to get an understanding of the sound I'm describing. Overall, I like the guitar. It's fun to play and doesn't make your shoulder ache after playing for an hour like the Gibson does.

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research Omen Extreme-6 FR Left-Handed Electric Guitar:

For years I've had Les Pauls and Epiphone Les Pauls. I wanted a strat again, but being a lefty makes it really difficult to try something new before making a purchase. Most left hand guitars at any store are 100 dollar items that reflect their quality with the price. I tried the right handed in stock and decided to go for it. Great sound, action, and feel. I'm very pleased. The hidden treasure is the fret inlays. The on line picture do them no justice. It's a beautiful instrument.
The E and A do rattle on the 5th and 7th fret. I'll change out to a .09 string and see if that solves it. Otherwise I'd like that to ge adjusted.

Just wanted to update my review with a improv vid and say I'm really enjoying this guitar.
Sound on vid does not represent the quality very well, don't have any good recording equipment yet, just wanted players to see this guitar being played, enjoy!

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research Omen Extreme-6 FR Left-Handed Electric Guitar:

I've played this thing at least 20 hours a week for four months and quality seems to deteriorate by the day. Now it plays about as nice as a 99 dollar guitar from a Big Box store. I'm very disappointed. I took it back to the store it was originally delivered to and had the pro set up. Again, it wasn't any better. The tech said the neck is bad and I'll have to send it back to Schecter because the 45 day exchange came and went. I will reach out to the manufacturer and see if they'll stand behind their work. For now I do not like this thing in the slightest bit. It sounds like an empty can is being used as a slide.
