Beautiful to look at, a blast to play - and....
It's been almost 10 years since I picked up a guitar - so since "starting over", I wanted a new start. I didn't want to spend a lot, so I stuck to a sub 600 dollar budget. The moment picked this one up to play, I KNEW this was the one. Looks gorgeous, feels great - what other say about the neck is true - it is so smooth and fast. It makes me feel like I am a better player than I am. The feel of this guitar makes you want to play more often - and that is a VERY GOOD THING if you are like me and need all the practice you can get. I've gotten much better in the few months that I've had it. I'm stuck in the 80's / 90's hair/metal era - and this guitar is PERFECT for that fun, crunchy, power-chordy goodness. I am not sure if it is because I haven't played enough different guitars in my life or not, but even playing this one while it is not plugged has a great clean sound to it and allows me to grab a quick 5 minute practice session as I am walking through the house. Gothic fret inlays are bad-a55, maple veneer is bad-a55, knobs feel solid and wonderful, stays in tune WAY better than my Epiphone, crunch-a-riffic sound, string action is superb, just freakin' love it. NOTE: I do have the fret buzz people are referring to in other reviews. It kind of forces me to work on my picking and finger position a bit to keep it as clean as I can, but it still rears its ugly head on occasion. If it is still there when I change strings the first time, I may address it, but as a guy who doesn't play on stage, I can live with it.

I wish this could work.
I'll start by saying I love the look and feel of this guitar. I got it because the neck is incredible, it's smooth, comfortable and all around amazing. The guitar itself is beautiful. I played it in the store and had nothing wrong with it..... unfortunately I had only been playing past the forth fret. I got home. Plugged in and hit a open E, it was one of the worst sounds I've ever heard from a guitar. Basically any string on the guitar has some of the worst fret buzzing I've ever heard unless your past the forth fret. From a out of the store brand new guitar this SHOULD NOT BE THE CASE. I'm going to return mine and go with a different brand.

I have had my Demon for a couple of months now. No fret buzz here and if you have such bad fret buzz go get it set up. Schecters are great guitars, and mine is no different. Pickups are good, but I am going to put EMGs in it as I love the emg tone. Be sure to get the Schecter case to go with it.

Bought this guitar after borrowing a strat for a lesson and learned not all guitars are a fight to hold (see Gibson Les Paul) and active pickups were something I was looking for. Awesome guitar for the price and only good one I've spotted for under $500 with active pickups.

This guitar is Awesome. Active pickups are LOUD. I run it through a Orange Crush and it makes the windows shake. Great for the big rock sound. Also, the clean tones are beautiful and rich. I've tested rock, post-rock, jazz, finger style and even country and they all sound great. Indie not so much though
Amazing guitar!

I bought this guitar about a little over 2 years ago. 0 regrets what so ever. The weight of the guitar is good, the neck sharp for me is fenomenal, pretty comfortable, great sound even with really hot pickups. Overall, this is a great guitar for someone looking to upgrade their starter guitar. I personally upgraded and it was and it still is a great experience playing this guitar. Really good high fret access. Fast neck. Only a few minor details like tuning keys clear coat seems to go off a bit, when the switch is in the middle position if it moves a little it starts to cut off and buzz but only for a split second but I guess that's because they are active pickups. But overall really well made for the price. Thank you schecter.
