You'd think because it's a soft case it would be lighter than a hard case, but it's almost the same nevertheless it still protects your V as good as a V hard case even though it's slightly smaller in thickness but over all still smaller than a hard case. Very difficult yo carry on your back, but great for holding it with it's soft handle.
Despite the tech's at Guitar Center unable or unwilling to provide details about what actually fits in this case, I am most pleased. I bought a Dean Dave Mustaine VMNTX Flying V guitar and merely inquired if it would fit in this case, but received no answer. I was told that I could just return it if if didn't fit, which of course, would put me back in the same dilema of no case. Upon it's arrival, I was elated that the guitar fit inside the case perfectly. There are no straps inside the case but the molded inside allows the guitar to fit like a glove. For anyone who is looking for a case to fit this guitar, I highly recommend it.
It's a great looking product for the cash. Reason I chose thise case over the hard shall is the two extra bags on the out side vs. the one single compartment in the hard shell. My only concern is the zipper assembly at the curves of this case it gives a bit of resistence. But when you think about it both Hard and soft shell come with a life time warranty (great)so if their ever is a problem, it could be taken care of " I hope". Last! the back pack syle makes it ideal instead of tider toding a heavy uneven weight hard case. it a matter of preference for anyone looking to buy between the hard and soft shall cases. hope that I am able to be of any help with my review keep it metal bros! chubs
