  • a good piece

As reviewed by bill on 2/18/2009

this is not a 5 star case in my opinion. but it is close. i have this case for my korg tr88. on the plus side it is solid and is well constructed. the puzzle piece foam allows you to custom fit to your board. which is nice. on the down side it is heavy as all get out. with my board in the case it weighs 110 lbs. the tr only weighs 55 lbs(according to the korg website). there is only one other thing to mention. it smells funny when you first buy it. the only reason i mention is that some people have sensitivity to smells. probably the material to make the foam. but you can not go wrong. i have had this for about a year.

  • Solid as a rock, and as heavy too!

As reviewed by Harley on 12/13/2010

I've been using this case, gigging out with my Korg Triton for several years now. It's still in good shape and shows no sign of falling apart. These cases are SOLID. However, I can confirm they do indeed smell funny, and will... forever, or at least for the several years I've had it. That said though, this case is HEAVY. I've done heavy construction work and carrying around this 100+ lb (with keyboard) beast up and down stairs for shows is no walk in the park. I would recommend this case for someone who wants serious protection and room to spare for holding extra bits of gear, but would recommend a lighter smaller case to anyone looking for something easier to get around and not to concerned about damage.
