SWEET.......

bought this to see if it is actually worth the price... its worth every penny and more... i am a welder and machinist with an 18 yr. background in master cabinet building and i dont know how they sell this for this price... their keyboard cases are only 8" wider (long way) and are almost 200.00 PLUS this has the padded metal bars for holding guitars and basses.. it is VERY heavy duty... the bars seem a little flimsy but with the flip up bar locking tabs it makes them sturdier... i would definitely use this on stage also....

Needs better hinges...

Opened this up for the first time today... Outer case is fine, it has the look of a flight case, but I wouldn't want to test it. Holds guitars just fine, but the thin hinges that hold up the stand are really shabby. One hinge's screws were next to the hinge because the holes were stripped by the factory. On the other side, the hinge pin was broken off from the hinge screws being installed at bad angles. If you buy this, take the internal hinges off and replace them with something more sturdy...

Folds neatly into a strong road case, very easy to set up, only concern is it is slightly wobbly when set up, especially around clumsy people. I would suggest packing a few shims to keep the posts more stable against the inner case. With that, nothing is full proof, and, for the money, this is a great stand.

Hey guys, Kristian from El Ten Eleven here. I took this boat on our last set of tours. Well over 50 shows. This stand is great for the price. I replaced the ProLine guitar boat I was using. Those would wear out and need to be replaced every third tour or so. This is much better. People who complain about it not being stable are not setting it up correctly. There are two hooks that pop out from under the lid that hold the bars of the stand in place. If you don't hook the bars, the stand is wobbly. The manufacturer should really include some instructions because it's really easy to miss this important part of the stand. I chose this over spending $500 on one of the real deal guitar boats that the A listers use and I'm glad I did.

This stand is great. Not only does it look good, but it allows me to safely keep my guitars out and tuned without having to worry whether or not they are going to be damaged.

How well does this stand work with guitars like V's or explorers?

This stand would work for an Explorer type guitar but not as well for a flying V body.
