  • This throne ROCKS!!!!!

As reviewed by Byron Gilmore on 2/7/2008

Over the past 17 years of my life I have gone through quite a few drum thrones. This roc-n-soc throne is by far the greatest thing I have ever sat my butt on. The comfort alone makes me happy, and when you add the back rest its better than a lazy-boy!!!! I play in a metal band so there is lots of double kicks, and this throne doesn't slow me down one bit. Very sturdy and very comfortable I'd say the only thing I don't like is that it is not very easily transportable. The legs are stationary and bulky, but it still packs in with my gear OK. I would recomend this throne to anyone novice or pro.

i had a standard ddrum throne before, hurt my back and tailbone like heck. (5'11", 215 pounds) After purchasing this throne from the guitar center my back and tailbone have been feeling MUCH better, i just saved myself a trip to the chiropractor! (forgive my spelling im too excited to care) If your current throne is giving you any pain, just buy this one, you won't regret it. at all, I give you my word! I purchased the black one, which im not sure has a different seat size (for my size) if you are smaller get the red one since the seat is smaller (only if you are 5'2" and less then 120 lbs. at least by my recommendation.) Plus it is very versatile and you can spin around on it to get to those extra toms if you have an 8+ piece kit. The being able to spin around isn't a huge concern for me since I own a roland td-3 (5 piece) but if your have kit like neil peart's that will be a lo of help to you. I haven't bought the backrest for it since i was in a hurry when i bought it, i imagine that helps people with back pain (me) get by drumming a lot easier, so just buy it RIGHT now if you have the money. You WON'T regret it.

i have been drumming for 17 years now and i have been switching thrones for a while now. this throne is a really good throne for people that want comfort if your going to be playing for a long period of time. i usually play for 4 hours straight with my band and i feel like im sitting on a cloud. i would recommend getting this throne to anyone.
