This is a very faithful stand. I didn't think it would be very balanced at first but the long base legs make up for it (the bars that touch the floor). Makes a good (cheap) gift for a keyboardist friend/relative, and doesn't scratch up your instrument. Thanks Guitarcenter + ProLine!

Excellent for small keyboards

By happygyrl21

from Vallejo, CA

Comments about Proline PL100 X-Braced Keyboard Stand:

This stand is perfect if your keyboard is small and light because the stand is lightweight. I tried to put a heavy keyboard on top and it was not stable.

Strong Stand

By Guitarist 88

from Lemont, IL

Comments about Proline PL100 X-Braced Keyboard Stand:

This thing is preety strong so there is no need to buy a double braced one. Also you can adjust the height of it. This stand is really good.

A bit thin

By Eric Lambing

from CA

Comments about Proline PL100 X-Braced Keyboard Stand:

this keyboard stand gets the job done, but is a bit wimpy feeling. my keyboard isnt too big (only 61 keys) and is supported well; if you are looking to get anything bigger than that you should look for another stand however, if you ARE getting a 61 key, this stand will get the job done very well. i havent had any problems with it thus far, and its definitely a good value

Amended review

By joe

from Concord

Comments about Proline PL100 X-Braced Keyboard Stand:

The same joe with the previous one star review. Couldn't find a way to edit the review... I figured out that the Allen wrench screws holding the feet to the legs had all loosened up. Once I tightened them up, the stand became stable again. Giving it four stars for what it is: a cheap, light use stand that I wouldn't bring to a gig, but works alright for a fairly light board in a home studio. Still a little wobbly, the rubber holders aren't adjustable so the board slides around a bit, and keep all the screws tight. For thirty bucks it's fine.

Weld broke within a year

By Tim Sylvester

from Buffalo, NY

Comments about Proline PL100 X-Braced Keyboard Stand:

I bought this stand when I bought my keyboard out of a store. Within a year the weld on the bottom holding one of the feet broke. I was surprised to find the square metal pieces that fit into the hollow leg are held on with about a 1/4 inch weld. I was playing one day and it tipped over with my keyboard which, fortunately, was not damaged. I need to buy another stand and noticed there are other brands for the same price, will avoid this one.

DO NOT BUY THIS STAND

By Shaye

from Gadsden, AL

Comments about Proline PL100 X-Braced Keyboard Stand:

If I could give this stand 0 stars, I definitely would. If I could give it negative stars, I definitely would. I bought this stand, opened it up, and it was just terrible. I don't know much about keyboard stands, I recently just started playing so I'm not familiar with anything, but I open the box up, take the parts out of the wrapping, notice there is a piece broken. I thought, "oh Ill just return it", then I put it together. The instructions they give you aren't very descriptive. Turns out I didn't even need those parts. When I put the feet together, it was super wobbly. Like beyond belief. I looked at the reviews and everyone's said the same, so I thoug "well I can just wad up some paper and put it up there, no big deal." So I put the keyboard support bars on it and set my keyboard on it. Not only are the rubber parts not adjustable, they don't have much grip, so my keyboard was sliding everywhere. I definitely don't recommend this keyboard stand at all. Definitely a waste of money.

Comments about Proline PL100 X-Braced Keyboard Stand:

It arrived quickly, but it arrived quickly broken. One of the feet was cracked when I opened the box. It's usable, but I'm not thrilled. I don't have time to send it back or go pick up a new one at the store.

Comments about Proline PL100 X-Braced Keyboard Stand:

Well, I only JUST put it together - won't play on it until tonight, so we'll see if that 3-star rating holds! =( One of the two main cross bars had *VERY POORLY* drilled holes in the ends (for the footbars and keyboard support bars to be screwed into). One of the footbar screws went in roughly one-fourth the way before it became EXTREMELY DIFFICULT to screw in... I even took it out and tried other screws to make sure. At this point, the (included) allen wrench was useless. After at least 10 minutes of (painful) forcing the screw in via needlenose pliers, if finally went in, but now the area around the screw is totally scraped and messed up. Thankfully that spot faces the floor...

Only other downside is the handle for the clutch (which adjusts the height)... it screws on, but never reaches a stopping point. Where you expect it to get tight and finally stop, it just keeps spinning and spinning and spinning... SHOULDN'T be much of a problem since it's push/pull to adjust, but it sure doesn't feel secure with the handle spinning like that.

I would NEVER pay more than $25 for this, but as the title says... if that's the most you're willing to spend, it will suffice. Just hope your screw holes were all done properly, or you're in for sore hands.

              from Concord Ca

Comments about Proline PL100 X-Braced Keyboard Stand:

I used this at home to practice on my Dx7 an hour or so a day. After a month it started getting wobbly, flexing weird ways and not sitting level on the floor. There is no way I'd trust this at a gig, or even for much longer at home. A complete waste of $30.
