Multi use stand
This stand is a great value for the price. I am in a cover band called party machine. I was always having to give up one of my tiers on my keyboard stand to hold my laptop not to mention that I had to put a plank of wood across the tier. I purchased a Proline conductor stand. It works great for supporting my laptop and my mbox audio card at just the right angle. This just goes to show that this music stand is built strong enough to hold more than just sheet music. I would recommend this product to anyone in need of a sheet music stand or laptop stand for stage use!

Quality - A fluke?
I just returned from the store with a ProLine Conductor music stand. At the store I was impressed with a designed that promised to be rugged. Unfortunately, right out of the box I set it up and one of the cam locks failed - split away from stand completely I am returning to the store now, but I was expecting a quality product from which I would get years of service. I would have paid $20 more to have the critical elements made of milled aluminum instead of plastic.

I've gone through 2 of these. It looks solid, but eventually all compression latches fail, leaving you with a non adjustable stand.

We use this product at the church to place our music. The singers like to have it at a certain height but it keeps sliding down.
Poor quality stand, more frustration than it's worth

I owned this stand for several months. A major design defect is that it uses a lever instead of a wingnut to adjust the height. The lever would never hold the stand securely, and it would slip down while I was practicing. I would not recommend buying it.

When playing, it will slowly start to decrease in height. Because of the clip that holds it in place, it is impossible to raise it back up if playing an instrument. You simply have to start squatting to continue to read the music until the song is over, or when you get a break in the music to raise it up again.
Sturdy for performances

Sturdy construction but a bit bulky. Works well for performing.

I have several os these stands. The rubber part that applies pressure to the stand to keep it extended broke off. Are there replacement parts available?
I’m really sorry but we don’t carry those types of parts.submitted4 years ago

The Proline GMS80A Conductor Sheet Music Stand is described at https://www.guitarcenter.com/Proline/GMS80A-Conductor-Sheet-Music-Stand-1274228076964.gc as having the following dimensions : Shelf height: 19.5" Shelf width: 21" It is actually Shelf height: 12" Shelf width:19.5" I suspect that someone typed 21 instead of 12, then swapped height and width. The stand I just purchased will work OK for me. Other customers might be disappointed.
Thank you for pointing that out. I will pass it on to our web teamsubmitted5 years ago

Can the part that holds the item be adjusted to a straight up position. I want one that can accommodate a kindle or i phone to be read while I am seated upright
These don't fold. You would want something more like this - Musician's Gear Folding Music Stand Black. I don't know that it would be good for you applications however.submitted5 years ago
