Useful for long gigs
This pad has helped out a lot. I usually play my epiphone thunderbird and man those are heavy, my shoulder attained an unbarable pain. Until I got this strap pad. I used this in a school gig at my school and it helped a lot. The gel is really soft and will relieve that shoulder pain guitarists always get when plaing for long periods of time.

Eh.
Refuses to stay in place on the strap itself which can be irritating even if it's positions directly onto your shoulder, the seems on both ends are also very thick and end inwards actually poking you and being more painful than the strap itself

I now have two. One is dedicated to recording with my P/J Bass. The other gets used when I record with any one of my six guitars. It helps reduce strap stress. It's an excellent product.
Maybe for you…

Seems straightforward but it is actually slightly uncomfortable and bulky. Also very narrow strap capability or it becomes unusable

Rec'd one for Xmas. I used that one on the strap for my Les Paul. Like it so much I bought one for my Fender PJ Bass. Only compliant, if I absolutely had to pick one, is that it is a little stiff, but it will probably break in with time. it also slides around in between uses. i little velcro will most likely solve that issue, too.
Simple and effective

Overcoming shoulder injury, this doubled my playing time before I need to rest. I went from 5 min to 1 hour over 2 years of healing. I went from 1 hour to 2 hours the day I recieved this pad.
I would recommend this shoulder pad to everyone

I use it everyday while practicing. I takes the pinch out of my guitar strap and cushions the weight of the guitar on the strap........I love it!!!!
