Completley Satisified

Awesome kit This is a great drum kit. I just bought the grey metal one. I have been playing for a while and have tried several drum sets. I got this for my girlfriend and she loves it. I recommend some remo pinstripe black ebony heads. also don't expect a pedal or a snare stand. it doesn't come with that. also instead of muffling the toms buy some tone control rings. Once you tune this kit you'll be surprised at how great it sounds!! enjoy.

Nice..but

Nice but a bit misleading as it does not come with everything you need or that is represented in the picture... so be careful and pay attention to the items included. We may have made a different decision if we had paid attention to the details and not assume the set included everything in the picture.

I use these in my music room/studio, these drums are top notch. they sound great, look great, play great and are built sturdy. These are not cheap or kids drums, they are just smaller 10" 12" 14" for the sound and style... not for kids, although they would make a kid a much better drummer. PDP could charge a lot more for these drums, but they don't and for that I salute them....

Having had previous experience setting up drum kits, the setup was easy. I had a very minor, nearly not worth mentioning, manufacturing defect. This shell pack appear to be a base wood shell with 'selected color' wrapping. The wrap on the snare drum was not applied correctly and had some buckling at the end of the wrapping. I had to pull up the end of the wrap to relieve the buckling and was able to get it seated flat with the adhesive that was already present. I am unsure is there is suppose to be any overlap of the wrapping, but mine does. As mentioned, this was very minor, but noticeable when I pulled the snare from it's box. Fortunately it wasn't on the a different shell with all the mounting hardware mounted on top of it. Overall, the kit fills the needs of my beginner kids (6 and 7 year olds).

  • One of the best starter kits out there

i have had this for almost 6 years. This is great kit even for advanced players, though I would advise to upgrade, as i am doing very soon. Very nice sound, snare could be better though. You could keep everything else, and replace the snare if you wanted to. Definitely recommend to any level of player.

This kit is really well made and the price can't be beat. Upgrade the heads and you will have a kit that will last you forever. I can't believe DW is able to sell this kit at such an affordable price!
