I purchased this set for my 3 year old grandson for when he visits our place. The set was delivered in its original box without any additional packing. There was a dent in one of the corners as I think the box was dropped but fortunately, everything inside was intact and no damage. I opened each package carefully and kept looking for instructions. There were no instructions whatsoever in the box on how to assemble the drums. I used the picture on the box to decipher as best as I can how to assemble the pieces. I succeeded in putting them together but had to retract when I had extra pieces of hardware that I did not use in my first attempt. I have never put together a drum set and to have no instructions is asking for trouble. Luckily, all the pieces fit together and my grandson was able to enjoy banging away at the set when he visited for the week. He did not want to do anything else but to go drumming in grandma's basement. These are good quality that can withstand a 3 year old learning his first musical instrument. Just make sure to have assembly instructions. If not, have a magnifying glass to check the picture on the box on where all the pieces come together.

bought this for my 3 yr old he loves the set.. cymbals are decent, but if your going to play on them everyday.. the cymbals will start to get warped and dented.. so you will need an upgrade sooner than later. heads sound nice..snare has good sound too.. foot pedal is decent too. when adjusting hi hats.. use a small tool to tighten up real good, if u do it by hand it will keep loosening up. overall. def. a good starter set..with a real sound.. great job PDP. also posted a video on here of my 3 yr old doing his solo. the staff at he Springfield, Nj store is great and halpful and super friendly.. especially when they let me bring my 3 yr old.. and beat on the drums. thanks guys

My 7 & 9 year old boys wanted drums for their bday from Grandma & Grandpa. This set is perfect/good quality for beginners (per our drum teacher). It has EVERYTHING you need to get started (which is why we selected it). It might be slightly on the small side, but by the time the boys grow out of it, I'll know if it's worth investing in a bigger, higher level set that they can grow into. I would definitely recommend this purchase for an average sized 9 year old or younger. But if your child is relatively big, I would test it out for size first in the store.

hello I am buying this kids drum set PDP DW for my niece 3 years old...we are very concerned with my neice being in contact with noxious products like lead etc,,,is this set made in China also? or made in the USA? The SPL kids drum set had a disclaimer "may be in contact with lead or noxious products..." not verbatim, but I don't want to buy a product that has a risk to my beloved niece. Please respond asap...i want to curbside pick up this set by Friday June 5 or Sooner. Please call me if you can, i haven't placed the order yet but the closest store for curbside pick up since they live in Oakland is Emeryville, ca.

We apologize for the delay in response. These are not made in america. Unfortunately the manufacturer doesn't have this information available online. We have reached out to them for this and will get back with you once they inform us. Thanks
