I've been using this stand on the road for over 5 years and never had a problem with it. The lock pins work great and give me a measure of confidence that my amp won't drop in height. It's easy to set up and the leg locks work just fine. I have 2 amps I tour with, both Rivera's. One, the Sedona DD sig 55 weighs 80 lbs. and the other, an R100W Duo12 weighs in at 88 lbs. They're both open backed and the top arms have plenty of height as do the bottom arms, which extend abour 4 inches deeper than the depth of my amp. The welds are good, the arms are nicely padded and I've never had my amp nicked or scratched on the tolex, ever, by this stand. It can be lowered and raised easily with the amp off the stand. I'm going to get a second one tomorrow as my last one disappeared at a big Dixie Festival our band just played. Heck, it's an amp stand and it does the job. Glue the feet on as they tend to wiggle off after alot of use. I use my amp as a primary monitor and have our sound guy mix the volume thru the monitors. I see guys complain about it being"right in my ears", ie "it's too loud"! Well. just turn down your gain and your volume and have them turn you up in the monitors. Problem solved, but it's not an amp stand issue, in my opinion. This is the best all around amp stand for the money I've used in the last 5 years and I use the heck out of it. Over 100-125 gigs a year. Great guitar amp stand. It's never fallen over on me once. and I've played on some rather bouncy, flexible stages. Forget the naysayers. I like the stand, or I wouldn't be buying another one! Hope this helps you.
I needed a stand for my 210 Cab and Bass Head rig. This fits the bill perfectly! It raises my Cab/Amp off the floor and also angles it towards my ears so I can hear myself without overpowering the others. It is so stable it allows me to set the Cab vertically to give greater height and a narrower footprint on stage. It disassembles to store fairly flat. I never gig without it.
What a difference this stand makes.... Getting the amp up off the floor and tilted back really makes a difference than having it around your ankles and knees. Get this stand and see for yourself. This thing I like best about it is that it has multiple height adjustments. For the price and the difference it makes in the quality of sound projection you'ld be nuts if you didn't get it.... One of my better buys with guitar accessories and cheaper than most of them. BUY & ENJOY!!!!
