Description
The Numark NDX400 is a flexible, slot-loading player that not only plays standard CDs, but it can also play MP3 CDs for lengthy playback from a single disc. Additionally, the unit can play from a USB flash drive for even more music-format flexibility. For easily navigating through folders on MP3 CDs and USB flash drives, the NDX400 has an easy-to-read text display.
The Numark NDX400 player has advanced braking for vinyl-style stopping of playback, and a reverse mode that enables you to incorporate even more special vinyl effects. A Master Tempo button holds the original key while you adjust pitch. The player also offers 3 hot cue points for quick access to key points in the track.
The Numark NDX400 features seamless looping for creating and integrating loops in instant remixes. Single, continuous, and programmable playback modes enable you to control playback order and create custom playlists. The NDX400 also has fader start, which starts the NDX400 playing when you move the crossfader on a compatible mixer.

For $200, you can't beat it.
I'm very pleased with this CD player so far. I got a lot of features that I wanted for the money that I spent. I wish that it had effects on it, and the braking function is barely adequate, but that's OK. The scratching is better than I expected; better than scratching on belt drive turntables, but a few notches below scratching on 1200's/Pioneer CD players. I love the fact it has a USB connection and that it can play CD-RW's. If you don't have $700 or more to spend on a Pioneer, it would definitely be worth your while to take a look at this CD player.

Meh..
Small, seemingly sturdy, lots of features.. etc etc. A good value for the price. The problem is that one of mine has developed a faulty drive that won't fully take in a disc and has to be totally reset before it will. Eject it, try to put in another, same issue. Pretty weak and renders the whole thing useless. The other is working just fine. The funny thing is how little these have been used. They've really just been sitting around for months and months since being purchased and having a few home sessions done on them. Proceed with caution. You really may be better off not gambling on getting a lemon or not and dropping more money on some higher quality units. Though, with the current sale, these are practically disposable. Your call!

The USB function makes this player fantastic. It does everything very well and is easy to learn. Someone saw me using it and thought I paid $500.00 for it.
Great performance and features for the money

I'm not a scratch DJ. If you are, these are probably not for you. They will allow you to do the occasional flair scratch drop though, just to let people know there is a dj. The rest of the unit is top notch. I've done 2 shows with them so far and I've been able to do just about everything I've done before with CDJ1000s. They are extremelly responsive and accurate and, best of all. Very down to Earth when it comes to the layout. They make you feel very comfortable right away. I needed something compact because my booth is very small, but don't judge these things by their size. They are very capable cd players and perform like top of the line units. I would definetly recommend them if you are thinking about purchasing them.
Great except for one thing...

Everything is great! Except when I go past an hour on a pre-recorded mix (not live), it stops playing after about 45 minutes... and no matter what, it won't continue! But the only reason this didn't get a one star from me is because everything else is so good, it is almost worth not being able to go past 45 minutes...
Absolute JUNK!!!

Given the reviews, i picked up a set to use as a back up. They were returned 3 days later. They feel cheap, they work cheap, and they are for recreational beginners MAYBE. Not for any type of professional.
