The advanced Numark NDX400 Scratch MP3/CD player also plays from a USB flash drive for cutting-edge performance. Numark's Anti-Shock buffered skip-protection technology keeps music playing, even when vibrations might cause other players to skip. Three hot cues and a large scratch wheel empower your DJ creativity.
The Numark NDX400 is a flexible, slot-loading player that not only plays standard CDs, but it can also play MP3 CDs for lengthy playback from a single disc. Additionally, the unit can play from a USB flash drive for even more music-format flexibility. For easily navigating through folders on MP3 CDs and USB flash drives, the NDX400 has an easy-to-read text display.
The Numark NDX400 player has advanced braking for vinyl-style stopping of playback, and a reverse mode that enables you to incorporate even more special vinyl effects. A Master Tempo button holds the original key while you adjust pitch. The player also offers 3 hot cue points for quick access to key points in the track.
The Numark NDX400 features seamless looping for creating and integrating loops in instant remixes. Single, continuous, and programmable playback modes enable you to control playback order and create custom playlists. The NDX400 also has fader start, which starts the NDX400 playing when you move the crossfader on a compatible mixer.

I got an NDX400 as a back up turntable when my Stanton c314 and c324's keep dying on me. The Stantons work for about 2 years then they stop reading.
Well, I might just buy 2 NDX400s and get rid of my Stantons because these little 400s do the same thing. The 400 has 3 sample buttons instead of 4. The 400s don't have the efx. Other than that, the 400 is good enough. And they are smaller and lighter.
I will probably use a Stanton/NDX combo until I decide to get another 400. But, it is a good little player. Reads and scratches flash drives. Works with Serato Scratch Live. Lots of illumination. Jog wheel feels nice.
Very nice decks. I bought 2 of them recently and use them to play live and to make house mixes. I have had them for about a month and have started to use all of the features to enhance my mixes such as the 3 hot cues and the master tempo to keep the integrity of the original song intact. The Flash Drive input is very nice and the loop feature is accurate and easy to employ. The BPM Counter is somewhat accurate, as many songs have fluctuating BPM's, particularily older songs..like disco/house cuts. The readout on the display is bright and the illumination of the entire deck is also great to use in club dj booths where lighting may be minimal. Overall, this is a nice deck and for the month that I have had it, there are no complaints around these parts....just in case, I opted for the extended warranty from Guitar Center for about 45 bucks for each NDX 400!
i had my doubts.....about the 800 or the 400......when i bought the 400...a set...i am floored.....you don't need effects...i've been there done that......i use 4 of these at a time...if you want effects...i still use my axis 9's........the usb flash point is a breezre and you get the track as fast as you would pop in a cd player...plus you get lock in three songs at one time...if you like....the scracth feature is great.........the touch platter is awesome.....also...if you scrath you just do what you do and you don't have to push the platter up hard at all just flow........fast cd pop in oand out is 2 seconds or less...where did they invent this from.......10 stars..tha vinegar man...if you don't use a computer like me these are great......if you use all this software....then you better go with the 800's
