  • Versatile, reliable, compact

As reviewed by Barry Levine on 1/2/2014

I've used this as a personal saxophone amplifier on jazz gigs for a few years, and also have used it with external speakers to supply music for gigs while the band was on break. It's got plenty of power, and decent tonal qualities (the horn sounds reasonably natural; there doesn't seem to be undesirable coloration, at least none that can't be dealt with by the existing tone controls). Have used it mounted on a mic stand or on the floor. The lack of a low-impedance input can be remedied with an inline transformer, although a nice combination is with the little Nady mixer with delay. So far, it's one of the best setups I've used in this application.

  • Power-on monitor I needed

As reviewed by Di on 2/18/2010

Good stuff. I'm running live sound system at our church, and we were in need for power-on monitor, since we had no amp (existing system we rent with 2 power-on speakers). I've got a used one, for I figured we don't need a brand new as far as it's cheaper and it works. Boy, does it work.... I enjoy setting it up, and most importantly our worship team likes the way it sounds. Clear, strong, compact. Plus with ultra-cardioid vocal microphones we use you can stand 2 feet away from it without any sound issues (feedback for one). Another thing - ability to control sound on a spot. This way worship team leader has no need to talk to me with gestures like pro commando; he can adjust sound volume and equalize it on a spot. Yet, it is what you pay fore, so don't expect it make sound crispy and deep as 2,000 analog would.

As reviewed by Donny Pitts on 2/23/2010

The Nady personal monitor is a great investment. It prevents stage clutter, looks nice, and sounds GREAT. I am going ot order three more for my band. The other members were so impressed with the Nady PM 200A, they threatened to take mine if I did not get them one . I love it!
