I can't comment on the audio quality of this device because I can't properly connect it to my system. The EQ has balanced inputs and unbalanced outputs only, including the XLR output.
As a result, I can't hear the EQ over the hum being generated. I could buy an adapter, I'm sure, but I'd rather just return this one and get an EQ with proper outputs!
