Affordable and sturdy

I ordered this stand for use with the game "Rock Band" because I needed a mic stand that would allow me to sing while I played guitar or drums. I didn't want to spend a lot on hardware for a game so this product was perfect. It can be easily adjusted to a comfortable position and folds up easily for transportation and storage. I'm not a "real" musician so I can't say how suitable it would be for those purposes but it's exactly what I needed.

Not a bad value for light duty application

Not a bad value for a low-end mic stand. Arrived damaged with a broken plastic cap for the boom tightening screw. Packaged well (box in a box) so conceivably was broken at original manufacturer. Would not recommend for frequent/heavy gigging use as the plastic caps on tightening screws are sure to break overtime as mine was upon arrival. I didn't bother returning though as the screw still works and it'll serve the purpose of a light-weight mic stand to use/stay in rehearsal space that won't get moved around a lot so needn't be a more expensive/road-worthy/heavy duty model.

This is a no frills mic stand that does exactly what it is supposed to do....hold a microphone. It stands fine, doesn't tip easily, and srays locked well.

I asked my fiancé for just a simple boom stand so I could level the microphone while recording acoustic guitar. The adjustable screw knob that is supposed to hold the boom in place fell out while I was setting it up and it will not go back in, as the cheap plastic stripped immediately.

  • I would like to purchase more of these stands. Very well man

This mic stand is ideal for home studio type situations... I use them for my overhead mics and they are tall enough to get the job done.
