I bought two of these little ukuleles for my daughters to learn on. The price was very reasonable, the sound is awesome and they are super easy to keep tuned using an app they have on their phones. They had already learned three or four chords the first evening and were looking up songs to play before they went to bed. Two weeks later they have learned numerous songs including Christmas carols to sing to the family on Christmas Eve. Such fun! And the ukuleles are so pretty! They were packaged very carefully and shipped quickly. I am happy with my purchase in every way possible!! I recommend this company highly!

Good quality, but intonation is way off, I am going to try to return for replacement. When I tune, then play a C or G, it sounds "off" and I then need to adjust until the chord sounds right.

Comments about Mitchell MU40 Soprano Ukulele:

I am an elementary music teacher. I bought these soprano ukuleles to use with my students. I am currently using them with 4th graders. The tone quality is excellent, and they stay in tune very well. I am very happy with the price I paid for them and will probably buy more so I can have a complete classroom set. (Right now the students have to take turns with a partner.)

Comments about Mitchell MU40 Soprano Ukulele:

I picked up this ukulele on the Black Friday sale. I just grabbed any box on the display and paid for it at the register without trying it because I did not expect much for the price. After a few weeks of playing it, and installing Martin strings. I am very happy with it's volume and intonation all the way up the fret board. I have played more expensive ukuleles that were not as good as this little Mitchell Soprano.

I (14 y/o) wanted to learn ukulele independently, so I was given this uke and I absolutely love it! It is a great beginning ukulele for someone to just wants to mess around with the instrument. Definitely reccommend this!

I wanted to try something new for Praise and Worship during service. We only have one guitar player and I figured instead of adding another guitar sound why not try something different. I purchased the Mitchell Soprano Ukulele. Super easy to tune and has a nice sound. Easy to learn to play and this weekend's service will be exciting to share my new instrument.

This is the 11th ukulele I have bought from GC. I personally own 6 and the others I have given as gifts. We now have an official uke band and these are holding up great! For the price, it has great sound and holds the tuning once one has played it a few times. I would definitely recommend this item and Guitar Center is the place to buy!!

Comments about Mitchell MU40 Soprano Ukulele:

I bought the MU40 as a gift for my 9 year old son. He is thoroughly enjoying his time with it. He's a beginner, and a small person, so this ukulele is just right for him. I didn't want to purchase something that seemed like a toy, and the MU40 is just right. Except for its size, it doesn't look like a toy, and it doesn't play like a toy.

Here's how things happened: I've decided that I am going to purchase, learn to play, and perform with a mid-priced ukulele, and I started reading, researching, and becoming familiar with all things ukulele, including the history of the instrument. Guitar Center in my city seemed like it would have the best collection of several brands, so I went there to do further research by having some up-close-and-personal time with lots of sizes and brands. I play some guitar, so I'm not unfamiliar with stringed instruments. I played many brands: Fenders, Mitchells, Lanakais, Cordobas...by the way...LOVE the Cordoba I played. The one instrument that really struck me about how sweet it sounded was this MU40. I looked at the price tag and was STUNNED. I made notes about ALL the ukuleles I encountered that day and then realized an MU40 would be a wonderful way to get my kids interested in ukulele, and at a price that doesn't worry me much about whether or not they will stick with it, so about 2 weeks later, I went online and bought an MU40 as a birthday gift. Done deal. We love it. I'm still saving up for that wonderful Cordoba, but in the meantime, I'm teaching my little uke player about what I know already. He's got 5 chords down pretty well and can get through a tune or two.

I recommend this instrument for beginners. Naturally, if you are a pro or highly experienced player, this probably isn't for you...you'll notice variations in intonation up and down the fretboard, but seriously, it's not bad. You might have to tune a little more often than you'd like, but again, if you're seasoned, you probably wouldn't purchase an MU40.

I recently bought this for my 14 year old daughter who wanted to learn ukulele but I didn't want to go all out until I knew she liked it, and overall it is beautiful has an amazing sound quality easy to play and I love it. But it doesn't stay in tune for a while and sometimes the string pops out but it just pops back in without a process but it's slightly annoting at times
