I am an elementary music teacher. I bought these soprano ukuleles to use with my students. I am currently using them with 4th graders. The tone quality is excellent, and they stay in tune very well. I am very happy with the price I paid for them and will probably buy more so I can have a complete classroom set. (Right now the students have to take turns with a partner.)

Comments about Mitchell MU40 Soprano Ukulele:

I wanted to try something new for Praise and Worship during service. We only have one guitar player and I figured instead of adding another guitar sound why not try something different. I purchased the Mitchell Soprano Ukulele. Super easy to tune and has a nice sound. Easy to learn to play and this weekend's service will be exciting to share my new instrument.

I have been looking for a good ukulele for a while now, and my local guitar center had this one and I instantly fell in love. It has a strong body and the strings are perfect. I can finally practice!

Comments about Mitchell MU40 Soprano Ukulele:

I picked this up two days ago and took off playing it. Very easy to learn and a lot of fun.

The A string goes out of tune a lot, but these are nylon strings. That's pretty much to be expected.

My only real problem has been the sharp, 90 angles of the topside of the saddle and bridge. They poked into my palm really bad. I took a nail file to them, though, and now they're a lot more comfortable.

At this price I'm not afraid to get rough with it and play around. Keep a tuner handy and have fun!

Comments about Mitchell MU40 Soprano Ukulele:

One tuner slips. Fret wires are not set 100% smooth and flush on the neck. I play guitar and wanted to try a cheap ukulele to see if I liked it and play to my new baby. This was on sale and perfect for that purpose. It goes out of tune a lot but new tuners are available for $10 and should solve that.

I'm very happy with this instrument for the price.

Comments about Mitchell MU40 Soprano Ukulele:

This is the 11th ukulele I have bought from GC. I personally own 6 and the others I have given as gifts. We now have an official uke band and these are holding up great! For the price, it has great sound and holds the tuning once one has played it a few times. I would definitely recommend this item and Guitar Center is the place to buy!!

Very fun to play and travel with. However, intonation is slightly off and I would recommend changing the strings for aquilas. Overall this is the best ukulele for the price.
