Excellent. I used my buddy's KRK Rokit 8's for a while, and when the time came I was pretty set on buying some of my own. I listened to some of my most recent mixes made on the KRK's just to be sure. Long story short, I heard things on the MR8's that needed to be corrected. I had not heard before. I was sold. I bought a pair two months ago, and have had zero regrets.I feel like I get a tighter mix faster with the MR8's vs the KRK's Super Monitors for this price range.

I just purchased these monitors on Saturday from the Guitar Center in Hollywood on Sunset! WOW! I had the opportunity to listen to them in the store in their speaker room, and they sounded good there, but once I got them home they seemed to sound even better! I was torn between these and the KRK VXT8's but these sounded cleaner and brighter than the KRK's. I just upgraded from a pair of M-AUDIO BX5A's to these and now I feel as if I have all the power in the world!!! I would recommend these to anyone that is serious about mixing and producing. I produce and mix Bass-Pounding Hip-Hop Records and these are a perfect match!!

Prior to this, I was using Samson Resolve 65A's. After replacing them with this monitor - all I can say is wow! - no staticky noises or any weird stuff. I listened to some Metallica songs on these, and it was super clear - bass really punchy, and midrange full and complete. I had an old mix I loaded, and immediately changed everything around to get a correct balance due to these new monitors. The level differences were set radically different using these as opposed to the old ones -- they give the true picture! They are absolutely killer in every regard. I play drums, so they are loud enough to play along with without distortion (and I only have the knob turned to the center position on the back (so there is much more volume to these). I was so hyped about these, that I played guitar for hours last night with songs playing on them. Every song sounded good, and it blended awesome with my guitar!
