The MXR Carbon Copy Analog Delay Pedal features a completely analog audio path for the ultimate in rich, warm delay--made possible only by old-school bucket brigade technology. This design boasts an amazing 600ms of delay time with optional modulation via a top-mounted switch and a simple, three-knob layout that controls Delay time, Mix (dry/wet blend), and Regen (delay repeats)--all in a pedal no bigger than a Phase 90. In addition, the M169 pedal has two internal trim pots that offer user-adjustable width and rate control of the modulation for even more tonal options. The Carbon Copy effect pedal will take you from crisp "bathroom" slap echoes to epic, Gilmour-esque delays with a twist of a knob. True hard-wire bypass, single 9-volt operation, and stage-ready blue LEDs round out the package.

The MXR Carbon Copy is perfect. I spent about six months looking at delay pedals and this one was the best I found. It is much better then the boss delay pedals, don't get me wrong, boss makes good pedals, but MXR makes better pedals. The best example of what this pedal sounds like is early U2 stuff. Bottom line if you like analog delays you cant go wrong with this one.
My favorite pedal. It sounds great, It's all analog, and it's not as expensive as lots of other quality delay pedals.
Really trippy sounding, sounds great with a chorus pedal, my overdrive pedals sound awesome on it. I only have 4 pedals, This, an Ibanez FatCat distortion from the 80's, An Ibanez chorus pedal (it's really old also), and a boss MT-2 Metal Zone Distortion, and it sounds awesome with all of them.
The Mix knob contols the volume of the echoes, the regen controls how many echoes(it can be anywhere from 1 to infinite), and the delay knob controls the speed of the delay. The mod button creates a slight up/down modulation on the pitch.
The feedback on this is really fun to mess around with, you can get some really crazy sounds out of it, just turn the regen knob up all the way, though I recommend turning the mix down some 'cause it gets really loud.
All in all, this is a great pedal for the price, and is totally worth it.
I was debating whether to get a boss dd-7 or a mxr carbon copy delay, and I went with the carbon copy.
This Delay has warm repeats and long delay time for an analog delay. another great feature is the mod switch, which can be adjusted internally. I adjusted the mod switch to brighten my delay tone. the true bypass is great and the pedal is not noisy at all. I have no regrets buying this pedal and it will always stay on my pedalboard.
