The MXR M-133 Micro Amplifier Pedal adds a preset amount of gain, using a single control. With a guitar, this lets you boost your signal for lead work, adjust between 2 different guitars with unmatched output (i.e., humbucker to single coils), or it can supply a permanent boost in a long effects chain where signal drop-off is a problem. Power: Single 9-volt battery or Dunlop ECB-003 AC Adapter - Controls: Footswitch toggles amp on/bypass (red LED indicates on) Gain knob adjusts total output volume when the Micro Amp is engaged.

    This pedal is wonderfull its a great little boost. Its like having an extra volume tone, I use it to boost some of my lead tones and it works!!!! This thing adds a great boost to my mesa express 50:5's overdrive when you combine the channels. The only problem is that the gain knob is not put in well, its glued on and it has come off plenty of times when changing the amount of gain. Otherwise this is a must buy pedal, it gets the job done real well!!!

    This is a great product! Clean boost that does not color your tone at all. I've read many reviews saying it does not give much boost in front of the amp and only is effective in an effects loop. NO WAY! I'm using it into a 61 bandmaster, last pedal in line and don't need to go past 11 or 12 o clock for a perfect boost. Highly recommended.

    If you use a tube amp, get this pedal. It's a really clean boost that squeezes that extra bit of juicy goodness out of your tubes. It's tiny, simple to use, and it gets your tone to the point you want it to be at!
