The MXR M-133 Micro Amplifier Pedal adds a preset amount of gain, using a single control. With a guitar, this lets you boost your signal for lead work, adjust between 2 different guitars with unmatched output (i.e., humbucker to single coils), or it can supply a permanent boost in a long effects chain where signal drop-off is a problem. Power: Single 9-volt battery or Dunlop ECB-003 AC Adapter - Controls: Footswitch toggles amp on/bypass (red LED indicates on) Gain knob adjusts total output volume when the Micro Amp is engaged.

  • Soloing Boost solution

    Nice Boost ,does exactly what I want, Tone remains nice,Even feels like it enhances the tone instead of actualy changing it, a good thing. I'm useng the Acoustic G120H head as a back up or alternative to my main rig and needed a boost for my lead channel.works great with solid state head through effects loop. well built just as all MXR's have been for years. Enhanced boost

  • Nice Pedal

    It?s a nice pedal to own. It can be used on solos or to increase the quality of the sound. This pedal have a good punch. I have a Warmoth strat with 3 EMG active, and a fender twin.

  • Fantastic For Lead Boost

    The sound is superb. The clarity stays intact. It adds fullness but it's not muddy at all. This is permanent on my pedalboard. I run it in front of my amps distortion: Peavey Classic 30, and after an Elite Tone Fillmore thunder fuzz. The only effect other than delay in the loop and Rocktron Guitar Silencer. I can say that this pedal makes my amp sound much better than it already is! Don't waste your money on boutique boosts and don't try to save money getting the Electro Harmonix-LPB-1, you can't beat this.
