Overview

The Flamenco Series from Lucero is designed with the modern player in mind. A slimmer profile neck than most nylon string guitars, combined with a cutaway for upper-fret access and premium Fishman electronics will feel instantly comfortable for any steel-string or electric player looking to add the roundness of nylon string sound to their arsenal. The LFB250SCE combines cypress back and sides with a solid spruce top for added top-end snap and brilliance.

Lucero Classical and Flamenco Guitars
Best-in-class value and built to last, Lucero instruments are carefully crafted to provide years of rich, toneful sound and at an attractive price.

Lucero creates beautiful classical guitars for every type of player, from beginners embarking on their musical journey to steel-string players looking to expand their skills (and their tool box) with the authentic sounds of a nylon-string guitar. Using superior tonewoods (like spruce, cedar, rosewood and mahogany) as well as manufacturing techniques seen in instruments costing much more, Lucero is priced for budget-conscious players who still demand a great-looking, highly playable classical guitar. Students especially will appreciate the low action that makes for better overall playability.

Acoustic-electric models include Fishman pickups with EQ control that is perfect for performance environments. Acoustic-electric models also have built-in chromatic tuners to keep you sounding your best. Lucero makes beautiful classical guitars amazingly affordable.

Comments about Lucero LFB250Sce Spruce/Cypress Thinline Acoustic-Electric Classical Guitar:

Very good workmanship, fit and finish. Tuners are a tad cheap, but work fine for now. I mainly play in our church and wanted a nylon string. I have to amplify my steel string acoustic to be heard above our choir and piano and I know that will be the case with this guitar as well. Nice accurate on-board tuner and good intonation. I may upgrade the nut and saddle, but the nu-bone actually works really well so I may not. I like the flamenco, nasally sound, it seems like it will cut through without alot of boomy bass. Better shape to this guitar than the usual classicals offered by this manufacturer and the cypress back and sides look especially cool and seperate it from the run of the mill classicals you normally find on GC's wall.

Comments about Lucero LFB250Sce Spruce/Cypress Thinline Acoustic-Electric Classical Guitar:

This guitar sounds bright and beautiful. It's a thinline so it's very comfortable to hold. The strings are set at low action so it's very easy to play. The guitar neck is perfect. Every note sounds clean and clear. The electronics has a built-in tuner and it works great. The only problem that I find is the painting details. There are little uneven spots here and there in the finish paint. Over all this is a very good guitar with beautiful sound.

Comments about Lucero LFB250Sce Spruce/Cypress Thinline Acoustic-Electric Classical Guitar:

Purchased on sale from Clackamas Guitar Center. Sounded better than any guitar in stock at twice the cost. Excellent Preamp and electronics. Really bright, snappy sound. Action too high for my taste, but I am an electric player for 50 plus years. Lowered action by reshaping new, lower saddle. Put Nu-Bone back in case for future owner. LOL. Really awesome sounding guitar.

      Updated Review

      By Michael Marcus

      from Portland, Oregon

Comments about Lucero LFB250Sce Spruce/Cypress Thinline Acoustic-Electric Classical Guitar:

I am updating my original review, and downgrading my 5 Star Rating to a 3 Star Rating.
I live in a typical apartment in Portland - where the weather is quite wet most of the year. Yet, my Lucero LFB250cse has developed conditions from drying. First, the Endpin Jack became very loose. Okay, no biggie - I tightened it back up. But then yesterday I noticed all of the Fret Ends were very sharp. Just like small knife blades against my fretting hand. So, the Fretboard has experienced shrinkage. And that is DESPITE very wet weather! My beloved new guitar, which I have played exclusively since purchase, is out of commission. At least until i order a Fret End File from Stew-Mac.
