You need this!

This will do nothing but good. I use to get buzzing from plugging everything into a cheap outlet adapter with multiple units on it. Some units wouldn't even work if i ran too much. I bought this and it cleaned everything right up. I plug my amp, mixer, drum module, interface, a computer in this and I have no problems anymore. And its cheaper than dirt you might as well just buy it. Besides.. It looks good on a rack;)

Nope, nadda, never

This unit was ok for a very short time and then the voltage readings started going all over the place. Some times it would say the voltage was 15 volts and then 5 seconds later it would say 121 volts, then 85 volts. I put a meter into the wall socket it runs out of and the voltage is staying very stable. You have to admit if it were 15 volts or even 85 volts everything would shut down that was plugged into the unit. I took it out of the system and put in a juice goose rack power and everything is working fine and no problems. Don't depend on this to work for very long. It is worthless and you can not trust it to read the correct voltages. Thumbs down

  • No more than a rack-mount surge suppressor

This is nothing more than a rack-mount surge suppressor. Apart from the 20s201x3 MOV (surge suppression filter) there's nothing in the box. No line filter with common mode choke or X and Y class capacitors, no internal fuses, no isolation of any kind.

  • Doesn't protect from surges

Lost a 16 channel recording unit and a set of studio monitors now has a permanent buzz from the last brief outage. Not pleased. Wasn't even much of a surge, more of a brown out. Led lights are very dim and rather useless even on high

Do I need a variac to maintain the voltage in a venue for guitar amp

This power conditioner would only be necessary if you are running multiple amps, effects processors and other electronic units at the same time. This would help to distribute the power more efficiently
