Line 6 X2 XDR95 Digital Wireless Instrument System

Description
Featuring an extended range of 300'”the length of an entire football field”X2 XDR95 provides at maximum range the same blazing signal and brilliant, uncompressed tone that it provides at the source. Analog wireless systems, notorious for rolling-off low end, force players, especially bass players, to sacrifice tone for wireless functionality. With X2 XDR95, players can easily interact with the crowd at the foot of the stage without any loss in sound quality.
Extremely versatile, X2 XDR95 simplifies the recording process. The extended frequency response, 10Hz-20kHz, satisfies the expectations guitarists have come to demand from high-quality cable, but without the tangled mess. With their rigs cranked to 11 in the iso-booth, guitarists can play near the band and keep the all-important vibe and that ensures a great take.
Eliminating common issues that adversely affect traditional analog wireless systems, X2 XDR95 utilizes exclusive Line 6 dual-RF technology to guarantee a strong and constant signal and to neutralize issues of static, interference and jamming caused by cell phones, wireless networks and other unforeseen or unknown sources of RF energy.
Additionally, the transmitter provides 9V DC bias power for lavalier or headworn microphones from various manufacturers including Audio Technica*, Countryman*, Shure*, Sennheiser*, Audix*, and others. View the owner's manual for a detailed wiring diagram and connector requirements.
The X2 XDR95 digital wireless system holds 2 prestigious industry awards: Bass Player magazine's "Editor's Award" and Guitar World magazine's "Gold Award."
*Line 6 X2 is not affiliated in any way with the above manufacturers.

great sound low quality

I have been playing bass for 35 years and have tried several wireless units over the years. As far as transparency this unit is top notch for a consumer grade piece. As far as construction it is at the bottom of the list of any thing I have used. The transmitter has battery leads that are about one inch long. I can hardly get the battery off of the terminals. I also had to replace the cable as the origional lasted two shows. I spent a good chunk of change and purchased the heavier cable. I feel that this cable should be included in the purchase of the unit. I am sure line six must have been aware of the quality issues. I read that other manufacturers mics will work with the receiver so I may try to find a mic and use it for a back up vocal mic. I am going back to my Shure ULX.
nothing better

I bought one of these over a year ago. I used to have a Shure, but it clipped all the time in low tunings, and the sound quality wasnt nearly as good. The X2 sounds just as good as a cord, and never clips. It does eat batteries, but for the sound quality I think its worth it. Im currently playing bass for a band in drop C and dont have any problems, and didnt have any problems when i played in drop A with my guitar.
Absolutely Perfect

this is the perfect wireless system for any guitar or bass. both my bassist and i have a system each and there is no interferance whatsoever. we both move around tons on stage and there is not a bit of difference in sound quality. our last show we even ran off stage and to the back of the building and the sound was still crystal clear. absolutely perfect for anyone who needs to go wireless for any reason. AMAZING
So simple, even the drummer could use it!

I did a fair amount of homework on this before I bought it, and tried out a couple of different units, and this was the winner. Sure, there are better ones on the market, but at this price point, the X2 is by far the BEST value. The Audio Technica I tried cut out on me too much, and while the Senheiser had a comparable sound, it was more complicated and quite a bit more spendy. I unpacked the unit and racked it at the gig, and had no issues the entire night. The battery level indicator on the receiver is key as the transmitter eats batteries (invest in some good rechargeables); I can squeeze two 1 hour sets out of a 9 volt. I am sure a true audio snob will find some tone coloring issues, but the average person won't hear a difference between the X2 and a cable; especially in the middle of the mix. At the end of the day, we are usually playing for a room full of the average person anyway, so why not have the freedom to go out and dance with them. The only complaints I have are the stock instrument cable is a little on the shoddy side (easy to order a custom replacement), and the receiver is made of plastic. With it being racked though, it is not really too much of an issue. If you are tired of being tied to your rig, and have an extra 1U to spare, the X2 will not disappoint.
Sounds great

The XDR95 does sound as good as my cable. It performs as described in the description. It does go through batteries pretty quick like others have stated, but I figure that will just have to be thought of like picks, I'll need new ones each show. Maybe I will look into rechargeables. (Though the owners manual says that the battery time remaining meter will be off if you use rechargeables.)
Excellent Product, Even Better Price

Wired Tone, wireless freedom is what it says on the box and they are not lying. Only downside is the transmitter. Cheap battery cover and eats 9 volt batteries. Get a rechargeable 9 volt. Way better than several other wireless sysytes out there. Overall- GET THIS SYSTEM!!!
