I was looking at getting the UX1 or higher model, but didn't need the separate mic input. If you are looking for a great audio input for your recording needs that gets the job done, buy this product. I have had no problems at all with setting it up, using it with any of my audio applications, or sturdiness.

I was searching for a simple, affordable way to record for my band and found it in the Line 6 TonePort GX. I got it in the mail, installed the software, plugged it into my USB, and got started with recording (recording software not included). It really is that easy. The tone from all of the models and pre-amps is superior in quality and comes with various presets for Guitar, Bass, and Vocal. I've had no problems with this product since I've bought it. In short: If you're thinking about buying it, DO IT! You won't be dissapointed.
Great with a Mac

I use a mac, so it is amazing, mac's come with a great recording software called "Garage Band" It is like having a Million dollar recording studio on your desk!!!!!!!!! This works seamlessly with a mac, you just plug it in and hit record. In the tone-port software you can change the guitar fx and change your speaker cabs, along with anything else a band would have on stage!!! If you like, you can change the fx on Garage band, but that is not needed!!!! I definitely recommend getting a Apple Computer if you like music or are creative and are looking for a new computer
GREAT on Windows XP

This thing works great on Windows XP and the GearBox Software is fun to mess around with. I recently built a Windows Vista PC and I couldn't get it to work right. The drivers don't fully support Vista. Great product but if you have Vista, I would avoid computer products all together.

If you decide to buy this little guy, you've already made a great choice. The sounds that come bundled with it are great to mess around with, and there are thousands more online that you can access right from the included GearBox software. All in all, the interface is great and easy to use. There are only a few things I don't like about it. One is the lack of a 1/4" port to plug into my amp, and second is the lack of ability to play right through your computer speakers without unplugging them from the back of the computer and plugging them into the back of the hardware. The nice thing about it, though, is that there is a standard headphone jack on the back of it, so you can play without disturbing anybody too much. Any way you slice it, this is a great product, and well worth the money.

My friend has the PODxt live, so I've been playing around with line 6 tone for a while, and when I saw this product on sale I jumped on it right away, so far its been great, the tones sound amazing, the hardware works great and it was super-easy to set up. I'd definitely recommend this product to anyone that loves to experiment with guitar tone.
