Hot looks, crankin' tone!

The JS1 electric guitar is Jackson's lowest-priced Dinky-style axe. It features a 22-jumbo-fret rosewood fingerboard, 2 humbucker pickups, vintage fulcrum-style tremolo, a volume and tone control, and 3-way toggle switch.

Jackson's compound-radius fingerboard curves more dramatically at the nut for easy chording and flattens out as it approaches the neck joint for low-action bends without fretting out. With a more relaxed hand, you'll play better!

Jackson JS1 Dinky Electric Guitar Features:

  • Maple neck
  • Alder body
  • 22-jumbo-fret dark Indian rosewood fingerboard
  • 2 humbucker pickups
  • Vintage fulcrum-style tremolo
  • One volume and one tone control, and a 3-way toggle switch

Great For Beginners!

This guitar is great for those starting to play guitar. The pickups are ok and the neck is set o perfection.Tremolo is also great. The guitar is heavier than some guitars but everything else makes up for it. I would recommend this guitar for beginners.

Not Bad...

This is NOT a bad guitar for the price!! I've wanted a Jackson for some time, but really couldn't afford the "Top" of the line ones. First thing I did though was replace the stock strings with GHS Boomers .009 gauge and that made it sound really good. Then I adjusted the pickups which again Great Sound!! The frets are alittle rough on the edges of the neck. The neck itself is very nice and fast. The body is comfortable, and I like how the body angles back where your arms rests while playing. Very Nice. All in all this is a really nice guitar for someone just starting out, or even for someone like myself who is an Active Musician and would like to add yet another guitar to his or her collection without going broke. I give it a "4" out of "5"

Not Bad

This was the first guitar I ever bought and it is not a bad beginner guitar. its awesome to learn how to play metal or hard rock on it with the floyd rose and tremolo. the pick-ups are good but not the best. It sounds good and I hope to play it until I can afford something better. If you are interested in playing metal i suggest an Ibanez.

ok

The guitar has a great look to it but the performance isn't all that great. That action is pretty good after a bit of tweeking. One problem I had was the tone knob always came off. I replaced the humbuckers with emgs because the stock ones have terrible squeeling. Other than that its an ok guitar.

Jackson JS1 Dinky Electric Guitar

This guitar was my first electric and it was OK for a beginner. Im going to change the pickups because they aren't that great. I used this through a line 6 30 watt amp. the value is good for a beginner but youll have to change the pickups and the strings. Since its "dinky" styled it is kinda akward to tune standing up, though the tremolo doesn't go out of tune that easily. with only 2 bad pickups and OK finish its ok for beginners but not so good for intermediate and up.
