Ibanez S420 Electric Guitar Weathered Black

Description
The S420 guitar's 3-piece bolt-on maple neck has the fast Ibanez Wizard II neck profile and is dressed with 24 jumbo frets for increased expressiveness. A Zero Resistance (ZR) double-locking ball-bearing bridge offers smooth and stable tremolo action.
The guitar's Ibanez INF humbucking pickups boast a versatile tonal array. With a weathered black finish, black hardware, and an unadorned fingerboard, the Ibanez S420 has a subtle, menacing vibe.
Infinity humbucking pickups
The versatile and responsive INF1 pickup installed in the neck position has a ceramic magnet for warm classic tone and added output. The humbucking INF2 bridge pickup features an enhanced midrange output. Its Alnico-V magnet enhances individual string clarity and excellent dynamics.
Zero Point tremolo system
The unique Ibanez Zero Point system stabilizes the bridge and insures tuning stability by consistently returning the tremolo to the center point (or zero point). In addition to the usual tremolo springs, the Zero Point System features 2 additional springs, which ensure the bridge's return to the center point. Quickly adjust the Zero Point system by hand”there's no need for a hex wrench. The Ibanez S420 guitar's ZR tremolo system employs ballol-bearings for smooth, precise, and friction-free action.

really only ONE flaw

This is a great guitar, neck plays like a dream, ZR tremolo is the most stable thing ever and is soft to use, string height and intonation came perfect out of the box. I tune this guitar once in two weeks and that's like a dream for me. THIS is ONE versatile guitar, you can play any style guaranteed. The only one flaw is the sustain. For a floating trem is very good, but in some ocassions the notes die before time. Maybe some pickup swap could make it better and a new sustain block. But overall I couldn't be happier with my purchase!!! btw shipped to Costa Rica, perfect packacing and it came in perfect conditions.
Superlative!

I have 5 guitars, an RG, Schecter, Les Paul, Warmoth, and this one now, along with 2 basses, both Ibanez Soundgears. I must say this is the best guitar of them all. The weathered black caught my eye, and when picking up, felt very solid. I was really impressed with the ZR Tremolo, (Zero Resistance), I did killer divebombs and would not go out of tune??!!! I also noticed the awesome sustain. I was very skeptical of the INF pickups, as DiMarzio are my choice, however, these pickups are so powerful, I had to turn down the bass on my rig, didn't notice that at the store. They also sound so clean, and each string sounds clear from one another when played individually which blew me away, these pickups ROCK, (not saying my other guitars don't, just the clarity was much more on these pickups which was a surprise). The Mahogany body is thin, but solid and very comfortable, even more so than my RG. The dark chrome on the hardware was very nice. The Wizard II neck is very thin as well, similar to the RG for fast action. I can play clean strat sounds to heavy thrash, it all sounds soooo good, I just couldn't believe it, the 5 way switch provided many different sounds from the pickups. 500 bucks is a lot to shell out for a axe, however, this guitar really gives the higher end guitars a run for its money for sure and a big step up from the lower end. I like this guitar better than my RG, Schecter, and Les Paul.

So i got this guitar after getting a job and working for it. I decided 3 months ago that i wanted this. I also played a schecter hellraiser fr that day and a couple other schecters. This one beat both of them. And this one was half the price. This one has more of a metal tone but can kick out the cleanest tones ever. This one is alot more playable and is very thin. This is good for a guitarist who doesnt wanna have a shoulder that hurts during a gig. The worn finish is really nice. It goes great with the hardware and makes the hardware stick out. The tremelo system is great. Especially if you know how to use it. I prefer this guitar over gibson, fenders, epiphones, schecters, and any other major guitar company. This guitar is a steal. go get one.
Not bad

This guitar's pretty good. I like the thin body and the tremelo bar. the only disappointment i had was the wizard neck. it's not as flat as an RG wizard neck, so if you're looking for that kind of neck, don't get this guitar. the tremelo system is excellent, and the pickups are good for rock playing.

This guitar is one of the, if not the best guitar I have ever played. The "s" series body looks and feels great. The pickups are fine if you are not a professional guitarist. the neck feels and plays excellent. The five way pickup selector is one of the most brilliant things ever made. It lets you have either humbuckers or single coils. Overall, this is an amazing guitar.
