I have played bass for 10+ years, this is my 1st 5 string. This feels and sounds better than my 2 Fenders. Was set up perfectly, I plan to sell off the Fenders and get a 4 and a 6 string as well. I planned to spend more, but theis bass felt & sounded better than the more expensive basses I tried out. You cant go wrong for this price.

I bought a metallic orange version about a month ago, maybe I should've bought an Orange amp to go along with it. I LOVE this bass. I bought it as an upgrade from 4 string, and this guitar has made the transition a breeze (and very fun!!!!). I've gone from practicing about once a week to once a day, it plays (looks and sounds) so great. Main complaint: The knobs are cheesy. The demo I played before I bought it one of the pots was completely loose, turning the knob on it was turning the pot body. On the brand new in the box one I got, tone knob was installed too close to the body, actually rubbing it. I've dealt with it. Don't get the Musician's Gear Deluxe Bass Cass, my research has shown that it won't fit in it. Get the Roadrunner poly-foam case, fits as perfect as can be.

i was looking for my first 5 string bass, at the beginning when i try this one at the fairfax guitar center i didn't like it but after a few minutes i just love it! its kind of heavy but its very very comfortable for playing seated and standing, i play from jazz to thrash metal, most metal and i can say i use it for both genres and its great for both!! the 4 knobs helps you to equalize the bass however you want!!! dont have doubts just buy it! greetings from COLOMBIA
