  • Rocks my parties all night long!

As reviewed by DJ John Towers on 11/4/2010

Just like a couple other customers who own the same sub, I was also skeptical about this brand. Harbinger...what? To my surprise, this baby puts out! I've owned my first powered Harbinger 18" sub for a good solid year and haven't had any problems yet. Powered speakers in general make every reason in the world worth it. Throughout the numerous house parties that I've DJ'd at, I get all sorts of awesome compliments. The bass is DEEP! If you're looking for an awesome sub for the quality sound and durability, look into this sub by Harbinger. For an even sweeter deal, use those coupons on this beast, I know I do...just think it this way, free waranty!

  • Not disappointed

As reviewed by JR on 5/6/2010

I was looking for a sub that would balance our sound system. So, my boys & I went to GC to try some out. Sales rep was great and ansewered every question. We walked out with two of these bad boys;-). We have been using them for outdoor gigs for the past month and we are not disappointed in sound they produce. If you get a chance, grab them. Very simple to plug into our mixer mono imput.

  • Couldn't be happier..

As reviewed by Craig "DJC" Chladny on 9/23/2010

This sub is a great piece of equipment. At 97lbs, it's easy enough to load in and out, and having the built-in casters was one of the features that sold me on this sub. I currently have it paired with two APS15 cabinets, and am planning in the near future to upgrade to a second HP118s and two of the HP215's. I like my APS15's because they're light weight and really do sound pretty good for not a lot of money, but pairing them with this sub made all the different in the world. I'm using them with the high-pass filter and they sound better than ever while the sub is filling in a good, tight bass. One thing I have that might be my mistake, and might be a Harbinger thing, but it seems the woofers are wired backwards. In normal phase it seemed like the sub was bottoming out, but in reverse phase it sounded louder than ever and crystal clear. I thought I noticed bottoming-out in my APS15's, but I wasn't too sure. This has me guessing I was right, though.
