  • Help turned my Mexi-Strat to a Super Strat

    First I started with the Graph Tech string trees and then the bridge saddles. Each upgrade helped to better keep my Mexi-Strat in tune, but occasionally on big bends and whammy bar dives I was still getting a tink noise and the guitar would go out of tune a bit, mainly on the E and B strings. The final piece to the puzzle was this nut. Best 10 bucks I ever spent. I can now play for hours without the guitar going out of tune. I also believe that all these upgrades improved the sustain and sound quality. It makes you wonder why Fender doesn't put something similar on Mexi-Strats as stock parts. The bottom line is my Mexi-Strat is now professional quality and I couldn't be happier with it.

  • Would have paid twice the price...

    One of the easiest and best modifications available. Bought this at the San Jose GC for a Warmoth neck for my strat. Note though, the neck is already a 1 11/16" nut width so my installation only required slight sanding for thickness, but NO sanding for the sides! Fitted perfectly which was a complete surprise! Didn't even need to sand the bottom and I have 6100 jumbo frets! Always avoided these for fear of losing brightness, but let me tell you, there was only a SLIGHT(almost can't hear it) amount of loss. BUT with this loss comes an unbelievable amount of harmonic richness added which gives the allusion of a bright quality. Tuning problems. Gone. Simply put, get one, you will not regret it!

  • what a difference....

    One of the most simple, and easiest upgrade for strat style guitar players. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who owns a squier, or fender. THE DIFFERENCE IN THE TONE OF MY STRAT IS LIKE NIGHT AND DAY.....
