The ES-339 Studio from Gibson Memphis nails all the benefits of its predecessors but with the popular Studio styling, for a no-compromises tone machine offering 100% American-made quality at an unbeatable price.

The elegant lines of the original ES-335 are cleverly drawn down to render a familiar yet more compact playing experience in the ES-339 Studio. Its stripped-down Studio format offers a lack of pickguard and binding with "soft edged" body contour, streamlined controls, and simplified gold headstock logo. A major savings in price and weight comes without losing one ounce of quality, though, as evident in its Grover Rotomatic tuners, TonePros AVR2 bridge and long-anchor tailpiece studs, CTS pots with Orange Drop tone caps, and Gibson's '57 Classic (neck) and hotter Super '57 (bridge) humbucking pickups.

    Just love this guitar...plays like a hhi end Gibson, sounds like nothing I have played from Gibson. I learned how to play on single pick up ES 335 in early 1960's. Everything I know about guitars started with the wonderful guitar. I have a Vintage Gibson 1966 ES-335 with P-90's.......I only take it out to play after I have had a bad day. This new STUDIO 339 2014 version is a different guitar....my ears may be following me but ar 1/3 the cost of my vintage ES-335, the Studio 339 sounds better....Yes, I did say better More articulate, clearer, better harmonics across the frequency range, sweeter overall The only negative is the ex factory process that released my guitar missed lots of scratches on the neck and a DRIED OUT fingerboard.....it was already 50%+ white/caulky Took a pro technican to adjust the neck, oil the fingerboard, check the bridge, adjust the bridge If I didn't love the sound, I would have returned it....GIBSON PLEASE pay better attending to releasing guitars before they are finished properly
