Product Information

As close to an original '60 as you can get in a sought-after historically correct color.

The Gibson Custom Shop 1960 Les Paul VOS (Vintage Original Spec) Plain Top Electric Guitar is a beautiful Les Paul that you'll want in your collection. In 1960, the Les Paul Standard still had the carved maple top with burst finish and Burstbucker pickups of its predecessors with an added slim taper neck for a decidedly different feel. This 1960 Reissue Les Paul captures the essence of the original guitar accurately and in great detail.

The one-piece mahogany neck is topped with a gorgeous rosewood fretboard that's adorned with acrylic trapezoid inlays with shape and color true to the original. BurstBucker 1 and 2 pickups deliver famous vintage LP tone. Gibson includes a hardshell case with your reissue Les Paul.

As if that weren't enough, this Limited Edition features the highly sought after, historically correct Lemonburst Finish or Dark Burst finish. With the plain top, you really get the full effect of these rich, gorgeous colors. This guitar's hardware is not only period correct, but has been given Gibson's popular Aged treatment. Get all the benefits of a new guitar with a killer lived-in look that will inspire thoughts of past guitar greats as you pour out your soul.

Gibson's Custom Shop produces some of the finest electric guitars on earth. Using the best materials money can buy, a staff of skilled luthiers reproduce some of the greatest Gibson Les Pauls of the past and create stunning new instruments for players and collectors who demand the best.

Like all VOS (Vintage Original Spec) Series instruments, the 1960 Les Paul VOS Plain Top Aged Hardware is handcrafted for comfort and playability in the Gibson Custom Shop. The construction, neck profile, hardware, and electronics are period accurate, and a special nitrocellulose finish treatment gives it the patina of a gently aged vintage guitar. Includes Gibson Custom Shop case and a certificate of authenticity.

With our Guaranteed Lowest Price, you can be assured of complete satisfaction and the lowest available price, or your money back!

Gibson Historic 1960 Les Paul Standard aged finish

For those who want the feel and tone of a Historic Custom Shop Les Paul at a very reasonable price, this is it. The neck taper is less rounded or bulky than the 58/59 reissues, yet still has some "chunk" to it without being too skinny. Nice flatness to the back of the neck. Tone is useful for many styles: smooth clean sound with articulate lows;crunchy yet creamy lead tone sings with distorted amp setting on my Marshall,Boogie, and Fender amps. Great overall guitar for gigging or recording and GC offers a fair price on this Les Paul.

Gibson Custom Shop 1960 Les Paul VOS Plain Top Age

This is an awesome guitar! I purchased the Guitar Center exclusive Honey Burst version and could not be happier. The neck plays like a dream and, for those who would like to own an original '60 LP (without paying 20K), this is the guitar to buy! The gentle aging of the finish and hardware is outstanding. The pickups have a wide tonal range and it sounds excellent through both my Fender Twin and the Marshall half stack. If you want the feel, sound and pride of owning a guitar that will not only blow them away with the sound, but will make them want it for the vibe, this is the guitar for you.

GREAT GUITAR

I bought this guitar and it was the best guitar i've ever played and when i started playing i couldn't stop playing until the end of the day because i was so hooked to guitar and how it sounded with my marshall amp. Also the tuners are very good, my guitar didn't go out of tune for a while. If you're looking for a guitar this is definetaly the guitar you wanna get.

honeyburst les paul

just got mine a few months ago and am really happy with it. for the price you get a great guitar for gigging and recording.i recomend it for anyone who loves the feel and sound of a vintage les paul. the guitar itself is simply beautiful to look at and the sound of it blows my mind. plenty of sustain for that killer metal sound.also for being as light as it is,it sounds like it weighs a ton.you just cant go wrong when buying this paul, definitly worth every penny.
